Jim Lawler's 1939 Dodge Coupe

This Dodge Coupe was owned by the late Jim Lawler in the early 70's it was obtained
by swapping his A Ford Bucket for it. It had originally been built up by a Victorian rodder.
The rear mudguards had been moulded to the car and the front mudguards had received
twin headlights and a custom grille, all work had been with lead making it a true early custom
rod. the interior consisted of tuck & roll upholstery. The original type side valve 6 cyl engine
had been fitted with a homemade log type twin carb manifold and headers.Sometime during
Jim's ownership the car was involved in an accident and the front sheetmetal  was demolished.
After Jim's death the car was put in storage for a while before being bought by Jim's younger

      brother Malcolm Lawler.
