Matthew Jansen's 1935 Ford Pickup

Matthew started building this Pickup when he was 16 years old and had it registered by the time he turned 21. It is his only Car. The cab was found in a paddock near Crookwell and was given to Matthew, a chassis was found in a creek bed not far from home and was also given away free.
He was also given the remains of a Pickup bed by Geoff Rae from Victoria but has had to buy

everything else. All the fenders, running boards and tailgate are reproduction items.
The top was chopped 2 1/2" with dads assistance as well all other welding jobs but most of the
panel beating was done by a friend Bob Binder with Matthew finishing the filler work and
painting the car himself at a local paint shop. The car was then wired by morry nut Bruce Perry after which the car was completed. An engineering certificate was obtained at 9am one morning
and the car was then taken to rego with registration obtained by12 noon the same day.
