Ian O'Brien's 1948 Anglia Tudor Sedan

The Anglia was bought from the proverbial little old lady in Queanbeyan, for the sum of $50 in the winter of 1976.It was taken to a workshop in Fyshwick where it was stripped down and a new chassis built for it. It was fitted with a celica 1600 four cylinder/5 speed combination with torana rear end and torana front end. It then came home so I could start the body work, which took about a year or so. The front and rear guards where widened 4" to cover 14x 8 hurricane mag wheels, the bonnet was louvered by my self using an old electrical box. The dash was made using a datsun 240k instrument panel and a celica steering colum, seats where torana  with a home made rear seat.  It was painted nutmeg  brown and white with a tinted perspex roof. The car  was registered in September 1978.
