1941 FORD COE
One of my current projects
I found the Cab Over in Cranebrook near Penrith,Sydney
in early 2000 after searching
for quite a while, asking numerous
people and following up leads. It was traded for
4 grille shells from various
cars although I think it would have been easier keeping
the grille shells and hanging
them on the wall.
If anyone knows the whereabouts
of any other Ford COE parts I would appreciate
knowing about them especially
a 1938/39 oval grille panel.

Ain't It Neat

Just a little bit of rust
Actually quite a lot of rust
And that's how you get it on the
trailer
Finally in the garage, let
the fun begin

Check out the rust.
the frame that supports the front
half of the body will need to be replaced
as it fell apart when the body was lifted of the chassis.

So far so good.

A view from underneath. Not very
pretty is it.
Time to bring the chassis
home although once it was home I don't know why I
bothered. It was very badly pitted the full length of the chassis. oh well,
it may come in handy for measurements.

First time outside with fenders on even if
just a large hole to fix on the rear
only just for inspiration

Front inspiration views
Still a long way to go

Notice that on the rear the panels are
not welded together just nailed to timber with a
finishing strip to cover the gap. this body
differs to the US body as there is no moulding around the rear window.
I know there is a lot of rust to fix but I think it is still worth
it.
This is the front suspension I intend to use
it
Came from a Bedford CF370 and has front
Mounted R&P and uses a rear strut mount.
