COMMENT :

The ZXR250 is a nippy street bike if you trick it well. Tweaking here and there you can find your money worth in the end, the standard bike doesn't really have much to shout about. The stock brake is a piece of junk and have absolutely no intention to stop. I have to convert mine to a full floating disc and throw in a set of braided hose and that does the trick. I raise my rear shock about 25mm, altering the front fork angle steeper actually makes the bike much nippier but a steering damper is a must or it'll make a nasty habit for tank slappin'. I've added a stage 2 dyno jet kit, K&N Filter, a damper (daytona), Yoshimura cans, rear wheel fender removed and did a whole new paint work.

I'm planning to bore the engine once I'm fed up, but that won't be so soon tho'.

Sadly the rear wheel is an 18incher and you may find a bit of a problem getting a good set of rubber tho'. Nitro charge and multiple damping rebound suspension is missing for the rear only compression adjustment is left (you pay what you get) so that has to compromise for superb road holding.

The tiny radiator fan doesn't do much justification either, when ya caught in heavy traffic or just idlling for more than 15mins you notice the temp gauge raising then when ya decide to cruise at low  speed you'll find the engine grillin' ya legs conviniently.

The better side....I like the ZXR ... its only fun when you pull ya RPM stretching above 10,000 then you'll feel the power kicking in way till the redline (btw 18,000 is the max RPM), unlike the RGV the ZXR doesn't have an auto cut. (So be gentle) you wouldn't wanna do that often do ya.
I don't have to kick start..esp' in the morning the RGV is a pain. Looks good I don't need to spend much for maintaince and after the yosh cans....bikes sound good....way too good.....*w*
