Pepsi Presents: A Jeff Gordon Moment

What is the deal with this? Pepsi? Jeff Gordon Moments? I can not believe that
Pepsi would sink to this low. First, they make that God-awful soda, then, they
put Michael Jackson in their commercials, and now this? Wow...this is just
pathetic.

Jeff Gordon Moments is the new ad campaign being used by Pepsi. They show a clip of
a race that he had that was significant in his career, and then gloat about it.
How disgusting! Let's just be thankful that these are moments, not hours, days, years of lifetimes.....

On June 16, 1997, an article appeared in a USA Weekend insert in The Sunday Paper
The article, entitled Racing's Leading Man and was written by
Stephanie Mansfield, was put together by a typical fan of Gordon's. In
The first paragraph, she talks about Jeff's win at Bristol, saying,"A damp
Sunday afternoon on a treacherous track in Tennesee, 118,000 beer-chugging
motorheads let out a roar as the rainbow-colored Chevy bumps leader Rusty
Wallace in the Final lap of the Food City 500 and snakes across the finish
line..." This journalist obviously knows nothing. No where did she say
that he 'foolishly' hit Rusty just to take a win. She also thinks that the
crowd roared because they were happy, but ,as you and I know, everyone there
was cheering against him. I think the key word was snakes across the
finish line. What does she mean by 'beer-chugging motorheads'anyway?

In the third paragraph, it said, "He's 25, looks like Tom Cruise, has a learjet,
personal trainer, PR firm, endorsments for Pepsi and Quaker State, steel-blue
eyes, a dimpled chin, tousled chestnut hair, and a bright smile." Can some
one please explain to me what having a 'bright smile' has to do with winning
races?

This woman who wrote this is the most unprofessional writer I've ever had to
read an article from. This goes on to oogle over Gordon throughout most of
the article. This should have been written for Playgirl the way she wrote it
This just further proves my point about Gordon Fans being dispicible. They
will condone all of the crap he pulls just because he has good looks. What
worthless losers. Stephnie Mansfield, if your reading this, I hate you for
what you have done. You've exposed this properganda to 47 million people
through USA Weekend. Shame on you.
