OK,good people,hereīs our garage.On
this page I will tell you about
our cars (VeeDubs,of course),about minor
and (God forbid)major set backs
and progress(hopefully!).I will also post
pictures of our cars.
As you can see from the following pictures, none
of the cars are
up to showroom standards(yet),but maybe
next spring(or,on the other
hand,maybe not.Time will tell.).Anyway;this
is what it looks like
for the time being.
This is Espen and Trygveīs
ī58.(If you think our names sounds funny,
bear with us.Weīre Norwegian!).This
is going to be one HOT Resto Custom,.
if they can only agree on some small details(like
paint,interior,wheels etc.etc.).
Details.....They have a great starting point,though.Pan
100% rust free,and only a
little rust in one of the heater channels.Canīt
wait to see it finished.
A little welding on the front fender.

Trygve having a little
something to eat after a hard (?) days
work on the ī58.(He only looks like
this when heīs eating...)
And this is me
having a cigarette and a coke in the heat.
By the look of it,you wouldnīt think
we were doing anything else than
sitting on our asses (and we donīt!).Just
kidding!
This one isEspenīs"daily
driver".Iīm going to get a front
view of it as well. This car actually looks
great(from a distance,
that is).EMPI style eight-spoke wheels and
very low.However,look at
it closely, and youīll see the most
terrible paint job youīve ever seen!
You canīt see it from this picture, but
believe me,it SUCKS!I am
ashamed to say that we did the paint ourselves,in
our old garage.
In our defence I have to say that the old
place was the most dirty,
dusty, moist and dark garage Iīve ever
been in.If the picture seems to be a
bit streched,itīs because I am not
too familiar with Paint Shop Pro,yet.
Iīll probably fix it someday!
This is Stianīs Roadster,based
on a 1302.He bought this car
from me,and has quite a lot of work to do
on it.Luckily (for him)
he got it very cheap! It has "some" rust
problems.Iīve taken care of
some of it but he has to learn
how to use the MIG-welder.
Still,I think itīs going to turn out
to be a nice little summercar.
Stian also has a pretty
cool 1303 S with a "Porsche Wing".
It looks pretyy hefty with Revolution wheels
with 285īs at the rear.
It also used to run pretty well with a 1776
engine.Yeah,I said used to;
this car has a nasty habit of "eating" engines.First
the 1776 went
straight to h**l,so he put in a spare 1600,drove
for a couple of weeks,
then BOOM!Gone!I wonder what he does?Hereīs
a rear-view image of the car
with the 1776.

A couple of more picīs of Stianīs car.
Smile,Stian!The "Classic" in
the background is the same car
that you see torn apart in the picture later
on this page!
Stian in the back of an old VW
bus that used to belong to his girlfriend.
This bus later rammed into the rear of an
even bigger bus,and now
resides in "VW heaven"!Big shame,as I was
planning on bying it.

These two belong to Lasse(the
red 1303),and Alex
(the blue 1302).What plans they have for
their Dubs,Iīm not sure.
And last, but not least(?),I reside in this
garage.My car(to be)you
can check out at myBeach
Buggy page.
Now,THIS is a sad sight! This is the "donor"
from which I got the
Porsche parts I told you about on my Beach Buggypage.
Would you believe this 1303 S (then with
Porsche 911 engine/transaxle)
was sold a couple of years ago for 120 000
NKR (approx.10 000Ģ or
15 000$)!And now I got it from a guy who
owed me about 500Ģ(with no engine/
tranny).Man,life can be hard on a little
bug!
And when Iīm on the subject
of "donorīs",this is the one
that provided me with the engine and transaxle, almost
for free.
As you can see,the car itself ainīt
a pretty sight,but the engine/tranny
was in "good as new" condition, and I was
a happy man!
