This is a picture of me on my ex500!

This has been my baby for almost 3yrs now.. I can't say enough about this bike... we seem to be attached. It runs when others fail, just a bullet proof bike !!
I bought it with 11,440km, in October of 1997 stock everything it's gorgeous, it's reasonable fast and best of all IT'S MINE!!!
When got it certified and et cost me 650$ which included:
Set of Metzelers, Fixed oil switch, Rear brake shoes, Head bearings, Certification
I put new front bakes, and a new O-ring chain, and that was $230. Other than that I had nothing else done to it in the 19,400 km I have put on it to date. what I can say about this motorcycle is that it's a great buy. It has a lot of power, handles great and is very quick when you want it to be. When riding you don't feel every bump like on my brother's old GS500, yet you always know when you are at the edge of tire grip. It has always started for me on the first try and never let me down, well just once when I was riding in the rain but that's another story.

I have done some 300+ km (one way) tours, with luggage, and the bike was reasonably comfortable to ride for that period of time with one rest (take a leak). The trip was mostly at speeds of 100-190km/h fully loaded with luggage, and best of all I got 360KM on one tank excluding reserve on that trip, that's 22.5km per liter. (check out this trip picture the day after my trip there where i got caught in HEAVY rain)
In conclusion this bike is really fun and it's engine characteristics ( turbo like from 6000rpm to and beyond redline) give this bike a real attidude.

I am also looking into a nice exhaust of my ex, possibly a a Kerker pipe, a Vance&Hines 2-1 pipe or Yoshimura. However i want to keep the centre stand, and I want to keep the stock jettings
