From what I've seen you guys are spoilt with your car parts regarding availability and price. I see it is possible to purchase a Chev 4 speed auto for $750 (new not reconditioned). The price for a similar item here is $2900. Thats why I'm searching the net to try to get some cheaper prices. We do have to pay freight ($500) plus 15% import duty and 22.5% sales tax, but your prices are still better. Have a nice day.

8-21-98 Jake is my 18 month old Border Collie. He was born 2-14-97. He absolutly loves my three boys and now has a 6 month old "tea cup" poodle as his best friend. Jake has become quite the frisbee and ball player, driving us crazy wanting to play. Occasionally he has decided to take a dip in the swimming pool but he really hates the pool cleaner. He will run back and forth trying to catch the pool cleaner as it c mes up the sides of the pool. Sometimes he is successful when he sticks his head under water and grabs the cleaner with his mouth. I get really upset with him for that because he is covering the front of this cleaner with deep teeth marks. Jake is my second Border Collie. I had a female about ten years ago but she tried to herd a car one afternoon while I was flying my R/C airplanes. She was hit by the car and broke her neck. I tried to have several different dogs after that but I was sp iled. There is nothing like a Border Collie. I hope your Jake is growing up to be quite a guy. He looks alot like the female I had. My Jake has very little white on his head, just a little on the snout. Well if you have time send an e-mail and let me know how Jake is doing. See Ya............

Jim, I have tried to write through my regular e-mail and I get an error message saying that my server does not support mail relay. (Whatever that means) So in reply to your letter sent on Monday 11-3-97, Yes, the Cavalier is my drag car. It is a home made 4130 chrome moly tube chassis with a funny car roll cage. Most of the body is fiberglass with Lexan windows. The engine is a 750 hp Reher and Morrison 468 big block Chevy. I run in the Super Gas class which runs on a 9.90 sec. index. I do however have to slow the car down by the throttle stop to stay in the 9.90 index. Full out it runs 9.00 sec. at 155 mph. It is a full time job just to maintain and race on the national level like we do. We normally finish in the top 50 to 100 out approximately 1500 registered Super Gas race cars. My limited budget and available vacation time prohibit my being able to attend enough meets to score in the higher rankings nationally. I work as a process engineer for Clevite engine bearings in the manufacturing plant in Bellefontaine, Ohio. My clain to fame is that I was asked to design the Clevite 77 High Performance engine bearing. This bearing has been in almost every NASCAR and NHRA winner for the past 12 years since it's introduction. I do like to mess with tractors, but am very limited to the time and resources that I can commit to them. I also notice that tractor shows and drag races seem to always fall on the same weekends. I am sorry if I have run on too much, but I don't often find someone to share interest in both subjects. My wife actually is very involved in both racing and tractors which really makes it nice for me. Hope to hear from you. I will contact my internet service and find out why I received the error message, but other than coming through your page here, I didn't know how to reply to you this evening.
