My grangmother Anna Laurena Akins was born in Acworth, Georgia. There aren't many records left. I have visited Acworth twice looking for Akins history and records of past family. Wish I could say I found them. I am looking for a copy of "The First 100 ears" to add to my history collection. Could even be a re-issue copy. Left my records of family history at the Library's genealogy collection if anyone is interested. My earliest known for sure ancestor is Nella Akin who got two chances in the Georgia Land Lottery.

It's a real looker considering it id Pepto Bismol pink. I am very happy that you bringing Baltimore back to the screen. I can't wait to see the movie, I have always been interested in 50's and 60's muscial talents. Hi; My first new car was 1947 Plm. Yep I am old enough to have had them when they were new. I was born in angola In. and lived there till going to Fl in 54. I had trouble getting on geo-cities, my first draft poped on, not knowing how. At least my space i saved.Am working on it and should have it ready soon. I put lowering blocks under the rear of my 50ford cpe. I have vibrations. I tried semi-truck caster shims to correct the angle of the differential in relation to the transmission/driveshaft/u-joints. Just happened on your webpage as I was looking for anything I could learn about my newly bought 1950 Tudor. Imagine my surprise to see a car exactly like mine on your page. The mileage is almost the same, mine being 78,036. I am the third owner the sec nd being from NH, and the first a librarian from Ohio who bought it new. The only thing it really needs is a visor. We are active members of the Now & Then Vehicles Club and my "significate other" (Gus) is the newsletter editor. In the past,I have helped my ex restore a 1927 Model T touring,1928 roadster PU, 1930 4-dr sedan, 1931 rumbleseat coupe, 1941 conv. (my joy), and a 1965 t-bird. My ex still is holding on to a 1932 PU. Now we are just interested in driving & showing. Love the drive-ins. Hope to get to the Northfield before the end of summer to show off the coupe. It is sitting in the driveway now waiting for a registration plate from the State. Loved your page, I'll check back now & again. Barb

I have a 1930 Model A Ford that I restored. A1953 Chevy Belair restored, and a 1957 Studebaker President restored. I am in the process of restoring a 1930 Model A Pickup. I really want any car in the 1934-1937 range, but cannot find one and can afford. Ma be some day, and I just will not sell anything I have to have enough money for one. I too am I a Boomer. My only wish is that today could be as cool and easy as the Graet 50's ! My last classic car was as 1956 Ford Crown Victoria w/312 Police intercepter (Great Car) but my love is with Chevy ! I also owned a 50's Diner for a while, we had 3 cruise nights a week, what a blast ! The cruise nights made the rest of trouble worth it. I don't have a URL yet even though I have been in computers for 20 years and and on the net and working with the net for 5 or six years. I think its time ! Just want to thank you for your time & effort in supporting our hobby as well as other many people.My two sons and I are all building cars. One 55 2 dr.sedan, one 55 hard top,and one 57 2 dr. sedan.We like to update them with disc brakes power steering ti t.The 57 is running a 97 Lt1 mine is a 92 tunedport and Kevin's hard top is just running a real sweet 350 ( He just got his license last week).
