I am the proud owner of a '74 Dodge Challenger.
Here are the specs:

-
Stock type dual exhaust
-

-
8 3/4 rear end, 3.23 ratio
-
Console with slap-stick shifter
-
A/C(not working now though)
-
Power steering
This is the condition of the car as I recieved it from the previous owner.
All present modifications were done by him. The car originally had a vinyl
top, but he had it removed, and the car is currently in primer. It also
has ugly fiberglass fenders which I'm gonna replace with the original metal
stuff. The motor runs great, did a compression test recently, looks good.
Vacuum at idle is an excellent steady 18.5 inches. When I got the car,
the front end was real loose. Completed an entire front end rebuild months
ago with a polygraphite kit from PST. Drives pretty good now, still need
to rebuild the steering box though, has a lot of play in it. I'm gonna
build my Challenger to look like a '70 T/A, stripes, spoilers, side exhaust
and all. It will probably not have a 6-pack though. I'm gonna completely
restore the interior, adding only a Rallye instrument cluster. The interior
is rough right now. But the engine will be heavily modified. I'm gonna
put all the good stuff in it. My speed goal for the car is low 13s.
Current events
Well finally have the long awaited(yeah right) pics up! Also put in
a brand new Modine 3-core radiator about 2 months ago. It was last on the
road about a month ago, 3 days after I started driving it again it broke
the driver side motor mount. Happened when I was power braking it. Luckily
the only thing that got damaged was the driver side exhaust pipe, got bent
up some. Oh well, this is the perfect excuse for me to put in those Hooker
Super Comps and Flowmasters :) Anyway right now the car is sitting...it's
gonna be a few months before it's back on the streets again. A mod I plan
on doing sometime in the future is a 4spd conversion. Gonna put in a A-833
4spd. What's great is that I can use the same tranny mount, and the same
driveshaft. Basically all I have to change is the flywheel and modify the
tranny tunnel. What's even better is that there is an OD version of this
tranny.
