2002
A tremendously charming and nice guy. Since the weather was cloudy several of the days I was there, we took the habit of eating lunch together. We could sit for hours and talk about everything and nothing.
Of course I also met my old friend Aziz. The coolest guy of them all...
I had bought a digital camera. The improvements of pics where enourmous. Much clearer colors and I could take as many pics I could without thinking about the cost of developing them.
That's the place I go most of the times in the evening when it's time for dinner, and that's where I bring my friends.
I found that most of my friends either had moved to other parts of Morocco or just went home for the big Aid el Kber celebration.
I was invited to one of my friends to have dinner, and I was a bit nervous that it would include watching the killing of the sheep. Fortunately that had been done early that morning, so I could enjoy the dinner without problems.
Not only had we a nice time out eating together, he gave me a wonderful massage in our rented hotelroom and concluded with another most special treatment that sent me up to the seventh sky.
He alone is reason enough to go back to Agadir. And so I will.
This was the year I met Hicham.
I realised that I don't have many pics of Agadir by night, and started to change that. The town really changes character in the night when all the tourists are back at their hotels and sound a sleep.
2003
Of course I took some pics from the beach. Here's one, from the beach club.
I was so happy when I met Hicham again. We spent quite some time together. The long black leather coat I'm wearing is a tailor made coat I ordered there. Kinda cool, isn't it?...
Agadir is not always sunny and warm. The fog rolled in over the city and gave Agadir a kind of spooky look.
My favorite restaurant over all these years has been a small restaurant in the Talborjt area - Restaurant Ibtissam.
Tremendously good food, always very nice and friendly service and low prizes. What else can you ask for?
2005
I didn't make a trip to Agadir during the entire 2004 for different reasons. But as soon as I could in 2005 I went back.
It was a bit unusual to hear and see sheep in the middle of Agadir, but every home was expected to buy one be slaughtered by the head of the family.
Holiday means strolling at the beach. This is just one of the night pics from the beach walk, where it's crowded and nice during the night. Everyone who has a possability to be there also seems to be there.
I don't know if it was because of the celebration or fear of another Tsunami or a combination, but the beach was almost deserted.
I have been fortunate to meet so nice guys over the years. January 2005 was no exception. Let me introduce Kasim...
To conclude this page for now, I just want to show you a pic what Agadir looks like from the airplane.
