This years trip to Agadir took place in the end of November and lasted for two weeks.
This time I stayed at Hotel Talborjt.
The hotel is located about 1 kilometer from the beach, up in the less exploited areas. There are not that many hotels nereby, and it's closer to one of the more genuine parts of Agadir, the Talborjt area.
It was a quite small room, and the view from the room was into a backyard. The alley was full with plants and trees, which was an advantage, since there was an appartement building just across from my room. The inhibitants had full controll over every move I did...
I brought my (Macintosh) Laptop, and that was a great success.
I took the computer with me to my oldest friend Mehdi and our other friends, and showed pictures from Stockholm, where I live, friends and family.
I taught a Manpower collegue some basics about how to work with a computer, what you can do and also how to do it. Of course we alsol played some games.
I just have to show you the cute kitten Mehdi and the others had adopted...
The second week Ramadan begun. I have experienced it before, and it is a quite special feeling when the sirens sound in the evening as a signal to everyone to have breakfast (yes, in the evening).
Since I've been in Agadir before during Ramadan, I also knew that everybody is out walking in the evening when having had breakfast. The most popular spot is the avenue close to the beach. People walk slowly, together or alone. They drive their cars back and forth. They go to restaurants. They sit in the cafées. There are young people and old. Families and singels. If you're alone, the probability to make new friends is very big.
This is what happened this year to me, too. Let me introduce you to Aziz, unemployed hairdresser, 25 years old and from a village a days ride by bus away and tremendously charming...
Since I've already have taken pics of most of the nice stuff in Agadir, just let me show you a couple of new ones:
This is one of the mosques in Agadir. Just outside where these two gentlemen, involved in a serious discussion about God-Knows-What.
Of course I have to show you the beach - again.
And the final pic - Al Massira Airport. When here, I realize there's no way back. For this time, that is.
But I will go back again - Insh'Allah...
