Peace River Country

These pictures are from a trip back to Guy's home town area, when we went to our neice's wedding.

This is a flax flield along the banks of the Peace River

a close up of the flax and cannola flowers

the house Guy grew up in unfortunately soon after the family sold it, it burned to the ground. 11 children were raised in this house!

not long before Guy's dad died, he finished building their dream house. This picture is fairly old, now the trees and shrubs have grown beautifully. When Guy's mom moved to the city, our neice Rachel and her husband Rene bought it so it's still in the family

Guy's brother Charlie is raising Bison

There was a 3 hour old baby bison in the field when we went to visit them. A second female bison follows the mother away from the herd during birthing to act as a midwife

We took the scenic rout to the wedding and crossed the Peace River on this ferry
