Hey! How about a list of SCREAM references and facts?
- Casey's Hairstyle is an updated version of Tina's from A Nightmare on Elm Street.
- Mr. Becker tells Mrs. Becker to go down to the Mackenzie's, which is a reference to Halloween.
- Billy's last name (Loomis) is from Halloween, which is in itself a reference to Psycho.
- Wes Craven plays Fred the Janitor.
- Tatum mixes up the names Wes Craven and John Carpenter and says WES CARPENTER.
- The 10 on Tatums shirt is just like that of Johnny Depp in A Nightmare on Elm Street.
- Linda Blair makes a Cameo as a reporter.
- Kevin Williamson, NOT Wes Craven, is the CREATOR of Scream. This is a common misconception.
- The movie shown in theaters had to have 30 seconds of footage that was deemed too bloody of gory cut out of it to avoid an NC-17 rating (Craven was bound by contract to make an R movie). This extra footage can be seen on any tape of Scream that is for sale, or the laser disc Directors Cut.
- The "Schools Out" version played in the movie (By Alice Cooper) is NOT the same one that appears on the soundtrack (By The Last Hard Men).
- Some of the scenes of Halloween that are played during the "rules scene" (with Randy) are played out of Sequence.
- Randy's last name is never mentioned in Scream.
- During the scene where Billy fakes death, there are no puncture wounds on his shirt, but they magically appear as he is falling down the stairs.
- When Syd is at home and is attacked by her front door for the first time, her fall is obviously done by a stunt double.
- When the "rules scene" is shown on the tv in Gale's van, the lines that Randy say are different.
Now, for Some SCREAM 2 facts..
- Chief Hartley is played by David Arquettes father, Lewis Arquette.
- The cast did not know who the killer was until the shooting of the final scene.
- The script was printed on paper that couldn't be copied.
- Matthew Lillard (Stu) can be seen in the back of one of the sorority scenes. You can only see the side and back of his head.
- When Cici is talking to the killer, her TV stops on Nosforatu.
- The Rialto is also the theater used on Dawsons Creek (Williamsons TV series)…Ok, not a HORROR reference, but still a reference.
- Scream 2 was filmed in Georgia.
