![]() REVIEW The story of the movie 'Sirf Tum' begs you the question - 'Can you fall in love with someone whom you have never met?' Well, the idea looks good but the outcome is not so appealing what with so much of high funda drama and unnecessary sobs and heartbreaks. Simply put, 'Sirf Tum' is a story of two pen pals who fall in love without even knowing how the other person looks like. Sweet, isn't it? ![]() Deepak (Sanjay Kapoor) is an executive working in Kerala. Being a orphan and leading a loveless life, he tends to be extra sweet with everyone he meets and goes out of his way to help them. One can only hope that this sweetness does not end up giving diabetes to the recipient. Anyway, in one of his attempts to help someone, he gets into the life of Aarti (Priya Gill). Now Aarti is a poor girl who has to live with her sister and ever-taunting brother-in-law. She is a resident of Nainital but occasionally makes trips to Delhi as well for her work. So is the case with Deepak. In one of her trips, she leaves her handbag and as the great 'helper' he is, Deepak finds a way to return it to her. This ends up both falling in love with each other and there is a flurry of letters from Nainital to Kerala and vice versa. ![]() To make the situation all the more spicy, Deepak's femme fatal boss Sushmita Sen is in love with him. She is all set to claim her love when Deepak announces that he's in love with someone he has never met or seen. Instead of the boss creating a whirlwind, she meekly surrenders to her 'true' love which is "not at the all of the first sight ilk" as she claims. Its time the two lovers met and anything but a sweater is used as a means of recognition. But God, it's a Hindi movie and can anyone escape the usual hoopla it creates even for a meeting. So after so much of unnecessary hue and cry, our unseen lovers finally are seen to each other and the rest is heady and history. Anyway, the surprise package of the film is Sushmita's acting which has come out really good. Sanjay Kapoor is at his usually pathetic self and Priya Gill looks pretty in her own sweet composite way. But wonder of wonders, what in the Christ's name is Jackie Shroff trying to do in the movie? Or say Salman Khan? If he thinks that one special appearance in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' fetches him the Best Supporting award and this film can do the same, then he has another think coming. ![]() Another highlight of this film is its mind-blowing locations. This film has beautiful locales of Kerala and Nainital which are a treat for sore eyes. The music has come out good and are doing quite well in the music channels. But when it comes to Sanjay Kapoor and his pleading ways of saying 'watch the movie for my sake', no amount of such pleas can deter today's spectators. They are no more silent nowadays. Watch this movie for beautiful Priya Gill and gorgeous Sushmita! What do you say? Songs of Sirf Tum1. Pehli Pehli Baar (Kumar Sanu & Alka Yagnik) 2.
