RAJA KO RANI SE PYAAR HO GAYA Cast: Arwind Swami and Manisha Koirala Director: T.K. Rajeev Kumar Music: Jatin-Lalit Rating: * |
Director's TK Rajeev Kumar's Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya was a long time in the making and it shows. The film looks very stale with not a single frame being interesting. A village boy Mohit (Arvind Swamy) always dreams of marrying a princess. He thinks he will find his princess underwater. One fine day, he rescues a city girl Manisha (Manisha Koirala) from drowning. He is smitten by her beauty and thinks she is his princess. Manisha returns back to Mumbai while Mohit is madly in love with her. In search of her dream girl, he comes to Mumbai to stay with his brother, sister-in-law and three kids. The kids help Mohit in finding Manisha. Accidently, the symbolic wooden elephant of Mohit is broken by Manisha and in return she gives a livey baby elephant Appu. Now starts the adventure of Appu and the kids. Later Mohit proposes Manisha but she refuses since she is already been engaged. As usual, her husband-to-be is a villain and everything ends happily. A totally illogical and senseless film. The screenplay is as bad as it could be with no continuity. Arvind Sway and Manisha Koirala do what is demanded and they don't look very convincing. Music is average. A total waste of time.
