![]() 'Rajaji' is another one of those typical Govinda movies which has no storyline and goes on without any sense. If the director thought he could develop the Govinda-David Dhawan magic, then he is in for a big surprise. But still, the 'story' is about a lazy guy who wants to escape the wrath of his father and the only way is by running away from his home. ![]() His father (Kader Khan) will not take any of his nonsense but so far is unsuccessful in mending his son's way of life. Rajaji does not want to take in anymore of his father's dominance and so in order to escape everything, comes upon the idea of marrying a Mumbai heiress. Once there, he comes to know that life is not that easy and even Mumbaiites have to toil to make their both ends meet. So after landing up in the City of Dreams and after many searches, he meets Payal (Raveena Tandon). After singing a couple of songs in Switzerland, they get married only to discover that Payal is the simple daughter of a gardener (Mohan Joshi), who works in a rich man's bungalow. ![]() The film is being directed by Vimal Kumar and please donot ask for a story because this movie has not any. The songs, which are quite a splash at the idiot box, are all tapori ishtyle and the music too is the same. The typical Govinda-gyrating dance numbers are choreographed by Chinni Prakash. The poor audiences had too much of Govinda and its time he concentrated in some serious kind of acting. ![]() Govinda has worn some of the most outrageously gaudy clothes, which have put his previous gaudiness to shame. One wonders if the producers have so much of dispensable income, why not give some to orphanages and widow institutions. Still wanna see the movie? Songs of Rajaji: 1. Raja Chalo Akele Mein 2.
