SYNOPSIS :

Our story revolves around Vijay Varma (Akshaye Khanna) who in his college is smitten by a fellow student named Madhu (Urmila Matondkar).

Vijay Varma’s grand-father Sadanand Sharma (Kader Khan) is his abettor and adviser in matters of the heart and is his guiding force in the Art of wooing the met with no results. Madhu on the other hand, totally fed up with his persistent teasing and flirting and unable to do anything decides to complain to her father Mr. Sukharam (Paresh Rawal), to take necessary steps against Vijay.

An angered Sukhram steps out to confront Vijay and teach him a lesson. But surprisingly on meeting him, Sukhram has a change of heart and on his return home informs Madhu that she has misunderstood Vijay and perhaps she would not find a better caring and loving man than him.

Madhu, slightly mellow now after her fathers opinion and unsure about her own judgement slowly but teadily starts failing in love with Vijay.

Both the families are overjoyed at this development and decide to bind the young couple in the bonds of matrimony, Accordingly the stage is set for the engagement function.

Just when every thing was going well with the rituals, the fun and frolic, all hell breaks loose when Sukhram the great admirer of Vijay, suddenly turns a voltaforce. He cancels the engagement between the two and successfully insults and humiliates Vijay’s family and guests and shows them the door of his house.

Surprised and shocked at the humiliation and the breaking of hearts, Vijay decides to confront Sukhram to find out the cause of his actions. Sukhram instead or replying to him hands him a file and asks him to show it to his father and demand explanation from his father itself.

A long time family feud leading to the death of Sukhram’s brothers was the cause of Sukhram’s modus operandi and his way of seeking revenge.

Undeterred and knowing that for whatever that happened, Vijay’s father was not alone to blame, Vijay sets out to seek his lost love.

As true love never dies, Vijay and Madhu are finally united after a series of detractions with Sukhram and after the latter finally realises his folly and repents for his deeds.
