Review
'Kaun' is a chilling suspense story that keeps you to the edge of your seat till the very end. The movie is from the 'Satya' team having Manoj Vajpayee & Urmila Matondkar in the lead directed by Ram Gopal Verma.

The film has only three characters. The film begins showing Urmila Matondkar alone at home speaking to her mother on telephone. She requests her folks to come back home soon because she is very scared, as she is home alone. She switches on the television where in the news she learns about a psycho serial killer who kills people who are alone at home. The police have alerted the public not to allow any unknown person in their house without verifying their identity. The serial killer is a lunatic who kills his victim by strangling them by a rope at the neck. The serial killer has already killed three persons and is still absconding.

The film gets interesting once Manoj Vajpayee comes into the picture. He rings the bell and Urmila asks "Kaun?" Manoj Vajpayee is able to sneak in the house after umpteen attempts and requests. Now things start happening as Urmila's cat is killed and one more guy enters the house who claims to be a police inspector but turns out to be a robber. The serial killer is in the house that's for sure but who is it? This is the million-dollar question on which the film revolves. I do not want to go any further as I would be spilling the beans and once you know who the killer then is there is no fun left in the film.

The film is a masterpiece by Ram Gopal Verma. In the beginning it tends to be bit boring as Urmila is alone and is scared to death in the house. She has the feeling that someone has entered in the house through the terrace. She searches all the rooms in the house and finds no one. But once Manoj Vajpayee enters, it is absorbing to say the least. Manoj Vajpayee once again takes the cake and obviously accolades along with. Urmila Matondkar has done her part to perfection. The script is intriguing which is supported by good screenplay. Cinematography is sleek. I have to mention that the background music makes the film all the more chilling experience. All said and done hats off to Ram Gopal Verma to give such a great suspense thriller having only three characters, having no songs in the film and the entire film shot in a single house. The film is a must see for everyone. But one piece of advice from Channel Bollywood do not try to learn who the killer is before seeing the film. To have a chilling experience do see 'KAUN'.
