K Murli Mohan's Kahin Pyar Na Ho Jaaye is a direct lift and poor adaptation of the Hollywood film The Wedding Singer. Prem (Salman Khan) is a singer who performs at weddings. He stays with his sister Neelu (Kashmira Shah) and her husband (Mohnish Behl) and has a friend in Tiger (Jackie Shroff). Prem loves Nisha (Raveena Tandon). However on their wedding day, Nisha walks out of Prem's life as she needs money for her sick brother and so needs to marry a wealthy NRI Rahul (Inder Kumar). Prem is heart-broken. Mona (Pooja Batra) is Prem's neighbour and who wants to become an actress. Then comes Mona's cousin, Priya (Rani Mukherjee), to stay with her. Slowly Prem gets attracted towards Priya and falls in love with her. But before he can propose to Priya, it is known that she is already engaged. Priya also realises that she is in love with Prem but does not know what to do. Then for another complication, Nisha comes back to the scene. Inspite of all the complications, it all ends on a happy note.
