HERO HINDUSTANI Cast: Arshad Warsi, Namrata Shirodkar, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor and Kader Khan Direction: Aziz Sajawal Rating: * |
The film is said to be a
comedy but it hardly makes you
laugh. The film has shades of
Naukar Biwi Ka, Mr and Mrs
55 and Manchali. Purshotam (Paresh Rawal) based in London wants his granddaughter Nikki (Namrata Shirodkar) to marry an Indian boy whom he has chosen for her. Nikki agrees to come to India but on the condition that she will marry that boy only if she finds him suitable for her. She comes to India with her butler Cadbury (Shakti Kapoor). In India, Nikki meets a tourist guide Romi (Arshad Warsi) and takes him to London and tells her grandfather that Romi is that boy and she has married him. How Romi wins the heart of the grandfather and finally how Nikki also falls in love with Romi is the rest of the film. Arshad Warsi is good in light scenes. Given a good role with a good director, Arshad Warsi can act well. Namrata Shirodkar does not impresses. Director fails to make a film a comedy fare. |
