HADH KAR DI AAPNE Cast: Govinda, Rani Mukherjee, Nirmal Pandey and Ritu Shivpuri Director: Manoj Agarwal Music: Anand Raaj Anand Rating: * |
This film is Manoj Agarwal's second film with Govinda. First was
Pardesi Babu -- a triangular love story -- which was a disaster.
So this time he thought of making a romantic comedy on the lines of
David Dhawan. But alas the result is again a disaster. Neither does
the film have any story nor does the screenplay have any strength.
Raj (Govinda) is a detective. His friend Sanjay (Nirmal Pandey) wants a divorce from wife Anjali (Ritu Shivpuri). Both husband and wife suspect each other of infidelity. Sanjay wants strong proof of this and so sends Raj on a Europe tour in which his wife was going. Anjali being smarter sends her friend with a similar name Anjali (Rani Mukherjee) instead. Raj mistakes Mona, a drug dealer, to be Anjali whom he always sees with a new man. On the other hand, Raj and Anjali (Rani) fall in love with each other. But they separate out when they think that they are married. They finally woo each other again. There are a bunch of couples in the film , where men flirt with other women. The language used at some places is quite vulgar. Performance-wise always reliable Govinda overacts this time. He has been given 11 get-ups and each one gets on your nerve. His dress sense is atrocious. Rani Mukherjee has done a fair job, but she also needs some good dress designer. However both the stars are very good in dancing. They are free and match each other's steps very well. Music is average. Locales are good but direction is very poor. A miss is affordable.
