Director: Abbas-Mustan
Music: Anu Malik
Rating: * *

After a long time, a film can be said to be somewhat entertaining film and which evokes laughter (though it is childish -- you can leave your brains behind and enjoy the film). The film is not par excellence but is a timepass for those who love to watch the film for just entertainment sake. The film has been inspired by Hollywood films -- The Man With One Red Shoe and Rush Hour.

Raju who calls himself Baadshah (Shah Rukh Khan) is a small-time private detective who wants to become big. He operates from a very hi-tech office with a four-member team including Johnny Lever.

In one of his assignements, he has to persuade a rich man's (Avtar Gill) daughter Seema (Twinkle Khanna) to marry a man of her father's choice. He begins his task by pretending to be a blind man but finally falls in love with Seema. Then comes the eye operation and Seema also falls in love with him. But alas, Seema's father come and reminds Baadshah of his task. Baadshah's next move is to make Seema believe that he is a fraud in which he is successful and now Seema hates him.

In some other assignment he has to resuce a kid who is kidnapped. When going to Goa, at the airport, there is a CBI officer (Deepak Tijori) who is code named as Baadshah. The officer is assigned the task of preventing the assasination of Chief Minister Ms Gayathrri Bachchan (Rakhee Gulzar). Both the Baadshahs are in the same flight which is going to Goa. An industrialist (Amrish Puri) from Goa hires some men to kill the chief minister and the CBI officer. They kill the officer but seeing another man with the same name they think that they have killed the wrong Baadshah. Then, there, he gets a new assignment of saving the Chief Minister. Some actions and suspense follows.

Shah Rukh Khan is good in comedy and dances. His team with Johny Lever is hilarious. Twinkle Khanna does not have much to do.

The first half of the film is very good and entertaining. But the second half lets you down. Too much of action and it gets drab also. Anu Malik's music is above average. Choregraphy is good. The drawback of the film is that it does not have a very good story. But finally, it is a time-pass.
