Sunny Deol, Betaab, Arjun and Dacait, their latest Arjun
Pandit is a damp squib except for Sunny's performance. Arjun (Sunny Deol) is a mild yoga professor. He does not let himself get involved with the criminals. He does not even testify on a rape charge on the minister's son Sanjay (Shahbaaz Khan) because of the threats. The girl commits suicide but her sister Nisha (Juhi Chawla) vows to take revenge. She comes to Hrishikesh (where Arjun is staying), and does a drama as if she is in love with him. Arjun also falls in love with Nisha. For him Nisha is above everything in the world. Now Nisha provokes Arjun to kill Sanjay and then she herself tells the police that Sanjay had actually come to say sorry but Arjun killed him. Arjun is sent to jail but he still does not forget Nisha. On the basis of the truth, Arjun is released from jail. He comes to the city in search of Nisha. There he comes in contact with the gang headed by Haldiram (Ashish Vidyarathi). Arjun becomes Arjun Pandit but still loves Nisha more than anything in this world. However on the other hand Nisha hates Arjun. Arjun even abducts Nisha when she is getting married and also tortures her. The rest of the film is full of violence. There are lots of murders and violence in the film. Sunny Deol is good in the action scenes. Juhi also has performed very well in emotional and dramatic scenes. Music is average. Screenplay and direction is poor. |
