Well, in the recent rash of cloning, scientists have took the egg cell of the organism, and instead of fertilizing it with a sperm cell, they take ANOTHER cell from the same organism, and use that to fertilize the egg. I think a cell from stomach lining, but that may be a bit too much Star trek watched. Result? A genetically identical offspring. But males can't be cloned. They have no eggs.
