The Night Before Christmas - Centre Style Written by: Shallsee(c) Twas the night before Dec. 25th And all through the centre Not a creature was stirring Not even the Pretender Surveillance cameras were hung by the tower with care In hopes that Jarod soon would be there The children were nestled all safe in their beds While visions of sims danced in their heads Miss Parker in her mini skirt And I in my suit Had just started discussing Those computer problems and Broots! When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter Away to my window I flew like a bee Sounded the alarms and called Security! A spotlight on the top of the new fallen snow Gave the luster of midday to objects below When what to my wondering eyes should appear But a helicopter, Wyldchilde and a message from Bear. With a pilot so old, dressed in a red suit. I knew in a moment this was no ordinary pursuit. "Bring the children", the note demanded "The exits are blocked. We have you surrounded!" More rapid than bullets his accomplices they came As he whistled and shouted and called them by name. Now Gadgets, now David, now Garry and Calvin! On Striker, on Skyboy, on Leo and Ironman! To the front of the gate, to the top of the tower Now dash away, dash away to The Centre's power The note I saw in disbelief And they brought to the door a Christmas tree. I laughed when I read it in spite of myself. They wanted to play Santa Clause and his jolly ole Elf As I drew in my head and was turning around Through the vent Jarod came with a bound. He was dressed all in fur from his head to his foot I gasped with surprise and took another look A Bundle of fruit cake was flung on his back I was no longer in fear of a Centre attack His eyes how they queried I must of looked loony I swore for a moment I was seeing George Clooney Broots just stared with his mouth agape He thought he was dreaming...surely he wasn't awake? Miss Parker had dagger eyes. I could SEE she was furious While Sydney tilted his head and looked quite curious. Jarod, he smiled and spoke not a sound While boxes of toys fell to the ground Pez, play-dough, bazooka and comic books Brought from the children some very strange looks For they did not know the world's realism They were exempt from TV and commercialism They had not seen a Christmas tree They did not know what tomorrow would be. So Jarod explained this day of good will And Patients brought Missy her supply of nice pills. He reminded us to continue to spread this good cheer To ALL those around us in the upcoming year. We gathered around the tree for a picture To remember this Christmas for our future As quickly as they came, they were gone in a dash While we were still blinded from the camera's flash They sprang to the chopper. Wyld gave his team a whistle And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard Jarod exclaim, when he flew out of sight, "Happy Hunting to all, and to all a good night!"
