Alright now time for the lesson.
The zips contain the VpRes.dll to use them you have to replace the current VpRes.dll (found in your Vplaces folder)Because the names of the files are the same it is a good idea to copy your current VpRes.dll and store it safely in another folder.Or you can simply unzip the skin of your choice into your VP folder, and when asked to overwrite click yes. But if you do that you will no longer be able to go back to the default VP. In case you have accidentily deleted your standard VpRes.dll simply CLICK HERE and you can download a zip of the original. In order to unzip these files you will need either WINZIP or PKZIP. One more important thing, you CAN'T BE IN VP WHEN YOU TRY AND CHANGE FILES!!!! So don't email me or IM me saying that access to the file is denied....cause DUH if your in VP your using it! OK so once more quickly....I suggest you make individual folders with the skin names and unzip the files into thier own folders that way you can switch back and fourth, just by swapping the file. As far as I know this way of doing skins IS compatible with whichever version you have of Virtual Places. For Mac users, sorry but I am a PC person so you'll have to find a fellow Mac'er and ask them |
