After losing his Green Ranger powers. Tommy finds himself in a pit of despair and pain. Although his friends have vowed to stick beside him no matter what, it's not enough however and he becomes more and more depressed everyday. Being careful not to let it show.
Soon the rangers start needing help. As the attacks grow stronger and more fierce everyday, Zordon creates a power made out of the pure light of goodness, and that is right and true. He turns Tommy into this ranger. The white ranger. Because of his courage, honor and bravery. Now Tommy controls the white tiger powers with the aide of a talking saber named Saba. With Tommy back on the team, leading the way once more, the rangers are unstoppable.
When a cosmic creature named Ivan Ooze is accidently uncovered by construction workers, Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa take full advantage of this opportunity and release him from his hyper lock chamber.
Immediately Ivan goes after Zordon who had imprisoned him six thousand years earlier. While attacking the Command Center he destroys practically everything in site. Causing it to shut down and the powers to be lost... forever.
Yet all was not lost. Alpha 5, Zordons trusted assistant, was able to teleport the rangers to the distant plant Phaedos to retreive the sacred ninjetti powers.
Shortly after there arrival the teens meet Dulcea, master warrior of the planet Phaedos. When she learns of what's happening on earth she leads the rangers to the ruins of the sacred ninjetti temple. There she bestows upon them the power of ninjetti.
Tommy's power now came from his animal ninjetti spirit. The Falcon, winged lord of the skies.
