Backstreet Boys Q & A

TEEN BEAT: With all the world traveling you've done, have you picked up any languages?

NICK: OH, yes! I know Japanese, Chinese, German, Spanish. We get little words from here and there.

TEEN BEAT: What's been your favourite country so far?

BRIAN: Australia, mate!

NICK: Australia was pretty.

HOWIE: Spain was great.

TEEN BEAT: Do you ever find time to do any sightseeing?

KEVIN: a little bit.

A.J.: We had an after-show party and played golf in Milan. It was fun. We got a set of clubs from the tour. It's just fun--it's peaceful. It's something different to get out and walk around.

BRIAN: That was about the most sightseeing we could do.

NICK: They play golf. Old men play golf (Laughs).

TEEN BEAT: Is it getting hard for you guys to go out in public?

KEVIN: Not like it is in Europe. In Orlando, the locals are now getting to know us. So are the tourists. When I go to the mall now, usually I get stopped.

A.J.: We were doing the first show on the tour and we chose, each of us, to drive our cars to the show. I had more fingerprints on my car!

BRIAN: I changed the lock on my apartment door!

TEEN BEAT: You mean, fans come to your homes?

A.J.: Brian and I live together, and the door just goes, "Knock, knock," and I said, don't go and he said, "Why?" I said there are fans right across from the door.

BRIAN: And I said, nuh-uh! And I opened it and, aaaah!

HOWIE: Luckily the [American] magazines haven't printed our addresses yet. That's what happened to us over in Europe--the magazines printed our home adresses.
