BSB Get Real
Part 1 - Brian

You seem really happy about the way Millennium turned out?

Oh yeah! This time we had time to focus on what songs we wanted to record, writing some of our own songs, putting our heart and soul into this album. And that's the best part about it. All five of us are at a level where we're going in the same direction. Becasue on the last album - I mean we had a good album, but at the same time it sometimes seemed like it was going in five differnet directions, and that had a lot to so with our attitudes. So I think we got thorugh all that, and we're just headed in the same direction.

How important is it to have songs you've written yourself on the album?

It's very important. I experienced that for the first time with "That's What She Said," on the last international CD. When I came out with the guitar, and played it, (the fans) sang every word. It means a lot to me that they take the time to listen the album, period, and then they read through the credits and they see that Brian wrote that song. They listen to every word. Because that song is about an experience in my life - it's an ex-girlfriend, it's a sad love sond. So it's an amazing feeling to know people like it.

Tell us about the new song you wrote on Millennium.

It's called "The Perfect Fan." It's about my mom. "That's What She Said," was something everyone can relate to, the sad love song. "The Perfect Fan" is something I think everyone in the world can relate to, because you care for your mom - or whether it's your mom, or stepmom, or your aunt - someone who pushes you in the right direction and it is there to watch over you, and help you take those steps toward a good life.
