So ya wanna know the story behind [thekornfield] huh?
How old it is, Why it got started, Who started it, What it started out as and all that shit. Well here it is... [thekornfield] was started out as a little insignificant peice of webspace that no one knew about. It was originally called "The Muddy Trenches of the UNDERWORLD", it was created probably... I'd say... December 5th 1994. This guy I know [Jason Evangolinos ICQ-822489] me up with a geocities page since I knew absolutly nothing about the internet. It was my first webpage ever and man did it ever fukking suck ass!! I mean... WHOA, it was bad! It was a page about Beavis and Butthead, Manson, Nirvana, Hot Chicks, and a little section of Korn. Just stupid crak like that. As the page progressed, and my HTML skills improved it started looking Jason tought me little HTML shit here and there... he knew more then I did originally. and when he'd learn something kool he'd show me and I'd be all amazed. Kinda like when Munky and Head were kids fukking around on the guitar. Jay had his own movie review page. It sukked, and even though my page sucked too... mine was always better then his:) |

Jonathan Mettes of Jonathan's Korn Page helped me out alot with all my little problems I had.
I has been offered many deals in the past, most of which are turned down.

He was always there when I needed help with something, weather it be an HTML code or information
or whatever, he was always willing to help me out. And since I never used HTML programs
like 'Front Page Express' and that kinda shit, I always needed help:) I always kinda looked
upto him [and his webpage] he always had the latest news, the neated layout and the best downloads
Jonathan was always a great guy to me, he basically got [thekornfield] up on it's feet
I don't even think he know's how much he's helped me out. But he has and I an very thankful!!
Another person who I was good friends with was Steve Johnson [now with the korn network]
He used to own this page called 'The Korn Page', some of you real korn fans minght
remember it... it was up before 'Follow the Leader' ever came out so all you new fans
you wouldn't know what I'm talking about. Anyways, he had a great page too
lot's of info any shit. Then without warning, he shut it down... and like a year later,
him and some other people came back with "the korn network" and blew all of us away
with it's awesomeness. I still talk to the guy, I send him bootleg info once in a while.
On the left are some banners of my old webpage.
I didn't know shit about making graphiks
so I went to all these free banner making
companies to make banners for me. So I've got
a shit load or them on my computer and I uploaded
some onto this page. I used to be with Link Exchange,
that's why I needed all these freakin' banners.
When I learnt how to make my own graphics
I didn't need to use thoes gay-ass 'Free Banners'
places. The one at the bottom, called 'Risket and
Herbert...' or whatever the fukk it's called. It's
Jason's old movie review webpage. Hahaha, told
you it sukked. Just judging by the banner you
can tell the pages sucked!! Hahaha, come to think of it
the banners I had for my page weren't too much better either:)
Anyways, there's the banners have fun laughing at them.
Mainly simply because it's too much hastle, I'm just a lazy ass and don't wanna
have to work more then I have to:) And partly because some deals require me spending
my money, which I have hardly any of. Here are some samples of the types of offers I get

When I get money I'll get my own domain name. I just can't afford one right now

only got v4 now. It's a shame because v4 is so limited
in what effects it can produce, and v5 is much much better.

It was originaly and when I saw it written down, I
knew that's what I wanted it to be called.
As for the square brackets... when [thekornfield]
started out way back when there were hardly any korn
webpages online. So I just used plain old 'The Korn Field'
Then people started stealing my name, so I changed it to
thekornfield, and people started stealing the 'linking all
the words together' idea, so I changed it more, to
...thekornfield..., and finally to [thekornfield]
So far I haven't seen any pages with square brackets in
thier name so I hope to keep this one

Make kikk ass graphiks, get rid of everything that
gay, don't have stupid webrings in the middle of
your main page and krap. Once you have a page
that looks kool, THEN work on the kontent. Get original
news, and different sektions to your page. Like this one
how many Korn pages to you see with a biography about
the page?!? And once you have a good looking page
with original/different stuff just watch the hits roll in.
It's takes time alot time and dedikation, you'll get it if
your dedikated enough. Oh and make sure you have none
of that fancy shmance Java shit.. god I fukking hate that krap

I'm going away to kollege next year so I don't know
what the fukk's gonna happen to [thekornfield] then.
We'll see when the time komes I guess.
But if it was upto me I'd keep it runing forever.
I love it, I love working on it, and being able to have
such a direkt konnektion to the fans out there. It's great!
Probably one of the best experiances in my life.
But I'd say TKF will probably klose or seice to be updated
around 2003/2004, bekause then I'll probably be married
or something by then. But who know.... only time will tell.
