Last September(1998) a fund was started at the University of British Columbia by fans of The Sentinel, that will ultimately go to a scholarship (or "prize" as UBC calls it!)in the Anthropology Department. This is a way for fans to honour The Sentinel and to have the name and the show carried into the future long after the show has gone off the air!

Our goal is to reach $5000 in order to make the fund a self-supporting and ongoing fund.

With this amount the interest accrued each year will allow for a $350 "prize" to be given to a worthy student.

As of April 1, 1999 we had $4651 in the fund! So we are moving along very well with our project and goal! Once the $5000 goal is met then UBC will have to take the Fund before its Senate for their approval.

US and other "foreign" checks will be accepted. They prefer not to have cash sent but, they will accept it if they get it! They are just concerned about the safety of it being sent by mail! They also can take CREDIT CARDS by phone or fax!

Make sure to put in your letter and on your check that this is for "The Sentinel" Fund!
