L: We're back. Ellen DeGeneres had to leave. Remaining with us, Sharon Stone and Anne Heche. The show is "If These Walls Could Talk 2" . I was just telling Anne that I've never been kissed by a man except Brando.Brando kissed me on the lips..
A: How was it?
L: Can't stop thinking about it..
A&S: [laughing]
L: But it was a strange feeling. Was it a strange feeling to kiss a woman?
S: You know, it was sweet. I have to say, you know, for me, men have a stronger, like a more aggressive feeling. Now that's what turns me on, do you know what I mean.
A: I can be so aggressive...
S: [laughs out loud].. but you're taken..
A: [laughs]
S: [laughs] The softness, the softness, is there's no beard.. it's the softness, it's a sweet thing..
L: Well, you've experienced both, what's the difference there?
A: I do not miss the beard, no, I do not miss the making out and how red my face became..
L: Do you miss anything about the male?
A: No, I don't. I don't at all, I mean.. Ellen is to me, an embodiment of male and female. I think that's why our energy has connected so quickly and so easily because I've always felt in my being that I'm both male and female, and maybe a little more balanced out than most. I just felt like I have a lot of male energy in me, so we connected so quickly because of that and I don't feel like, there's masculine in our love-making, there's feminine in our love-making. I think that's one of the things that people think, that it's only sweet. I know exactly what you're saying, and you're absolutely right.
S: Well, of 'coz ours is, you don't really have sex when you're doing your love scene.
L: In fact, Marcela Mastrionni (?) had said that the least turn ons of all things have been a love scene..
S: Yes, because everybody's around, and this thing.. so you don't really get to what is the real flow of a sexual act..
L: But you still had a kiss, right?
S: Yeah. We still kissed, we were still naked and we..
L: Do you think we learn from these things? Do you think it helps people to progress as a society to watch the show?
S: I think that anything that allows us to see the person next to us with compassion and understanding is helpful and important. I think a lot of people see the person next to them with an eye to consume, what can I get, instead of what can I know, and what can I understand, and how can I help. I think anything that allows us to open our hearts and know, really know each other, helps us know ourselves and be more.. so I think it is helpful. We start with Vanessa Redgrave, who is, of 'coz, the greatest living actress..
L: You think so?
S: I think so, and what we see in her work, and what we learn...It's incredible and it's more than we're gonna learn from my work, because she knows more. She has more life, she gives more.
A: Wait a minute, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that.
S: Ohh..
L: You don't think she's a great actress?
A: An amazing actress..
L: But her looks get in the way.
A: No, I don't think her looks get in the way.
L: But she doesn't get the credit she deserves because she is, through her own power, has a lot of the male side..
S: You know how Jessica Tandy became more and more as she grew later into her acting and her life. Well, you just know more about our humanity. And the more you know as an artist, the more seamless and fine tuned your work becomes, the greater the body of knowledge. I hope that when I'm Vanessa Redgrave's age, that I can become the same calibre of an actress...that's what I'm working for, day to day. But I bring that up just because she starts our show, she starts our trilogy that opens our heart in such a deep and profound way. Then we move into young people facing this. We move into Chloe Sevigny and Michelle Williams, and the joy of the first flush of real love and the thrill, and the exuberance of that. And then we move into these people who are 40, 40-something who wanna have a baby, and are settled into a long-term relationship. I think we learn through the ages and the different phases. We've all had young love, we move into wanting to have a family, we move into looking at what it means to lose our partner.
A: And that's what I'm saying, it's equal. That's my point. There isn't. because you gave of another language. You gave a language of a couple who are together..
S: And that's what I kept telling myself at the premiere. I was at the premiere when I saw Vanessa Redgrave, I thought, I have to go..and then I go, no, no, we all have our thing that we give..
A: Yes! Yes! It's all equal and beautiful..
S: Mm..hmm..
L: Did you say to yourself when you had this feeling for Ellen.. what's happening to me?
A: No..
L: None at all?
A: And I have to clarify all of this by saying, I understand that it's a unique situation and now I've learnt so much of it and I hope to continue to learn and grow my whole life. Within 3 years of understanding what most people go through in this journey that they take in order to come to the place where they can openly say, I love, and who I love, is a person of the same sex. And that journey is very difficult to people and I embrace that..
S: I think it's difficult for straight people to get to the point where they can say, I love, and this is who I love..
A: Absolutely.. everybody..
S: Yeah, it's our biggest lesson, that is getting out of.. when we are born, it's all about us..
L: You learnt a lot from doing this?
S: I not only learnt a lot from doing it, I also learnt a lot from being with Anne, and because... the reason that it's unique. [turns to Anne].. I hope you don't, I don't embarrass you.. Anne is very special. She's like a little buddha. This woman lives..
L: Same thing Ellen said..
S: She lives with our prejudice, with our bias, she can understand and accept everything in others and in herself.

L: Hey, I got to see this..
A: I'm sorry, it was a touching moment..
S: You just got jealous, it's what happens..
L: Ok, you cut that out..

L: We're back with Sharon Stone and Anne Heche.. She gives me suspenders and now she gives me these.. What is the significance, 'coz they always have a significance..
S: They're all naked ladies with bubbles.. I thought happy naked ladies would be right for the show..
A: Which also could have been the title of the 3rd segment..
A&S: Happy Naked Ladies!!
L: By the way, Sharon and Phil are friends, and Phil and I get along, and we have dinner together, all 4 of us, so jump at rumors..
S: We're two happy couples..
L: We're happy couples..
A: Well, congratulations..
S: Isn't it good?
A: Yeah, it's all good.
L: Anne, what's next for you?
A: I'm shooting a documentary of Ellen on the road. She's coming back to stand-ups for the 1st time in 6 years. So we will be on the road for 9 weeks..
L: So you won't be doing any movies?
A: I won't be acting in a movie, no, but I did act in 2 movies this year, so I feel like I've kinda done that side of my creativity and I'm not ready to do another movie.
S: I'm certainly hoping she's gonna direct again soon, with me in it.
A: Me too.
S: Because she's a very talented director..
L: How good a director?
S: Really, a good director. I've worked with a lot of great directors..
L: Sure have..
S: And with a lot of new directors because I've been very interested in the independent film arena and I have to say, I've never seen a first-time director with this kind of dear, love, focus, humor.. I mean, she made it easy and we shot the show in what, 8 days?
A: 8 days..
S: And that we got it in 8 days is a testament..
L: Well, that must be unusual for filmmakers 'coz you take days to warm up..
S: Yeah, running through scenes and..
A: Yeah, 8 days is trying to get to know each other better. Really.. but obviously we all got along very great, so it was good.
L: Did you all feel that you were coming down doing television?
S: Oh no..
L: No?
S: No no.. also..
L: Also a lesser medium..
S: No, and not to be, I mean, I just think that HBO is a different kind of television. It's really a cut above. It's a different thing. Production values are extraordinary, and the people that man that studio really know what they're doing. And they don't just support why you're making it, they take you all the way through to the getting it out there. And with this particular piece, I think, for me, I wanted to do it for people who could see it in their living room, where they didn't have to sit next to other people and felt self-conscious, where they could say that they didn't see it if they wanted to.
A: I think that's one of the most important things about doing it, having it done on HBO because of the subject matter. People aren't sure what they're going to get. There is some hesitation and maybe fear around it. So because of the intimacy of the home, more people would see this on HBO than they ever would have had we done it in the theatre.
S: I was also hoping for the felacious viewer who just wants to see us naked, doing a love scene..
A: That's fine too.. come and you'll get more than that..
L: You and Ellen naked?
S: Yeah..
L: On the show..
S: Yeah, yeah.. we look darn good..
A: You do..
L: Do you think the public has accepted you two as a couple more now?
A: Oh, without a doubt, I mean even if they're bored with us, that's fine, you know.. I mean really..
L: Oh, them again.
A: Them again, which is a prayer for us.
L: It's like Louis Prima (?) and Keely Smith, are coming in the door, right?
A: Pardon me?
L: Louis Prima and Keely Smith, it's like an old..
S: Yes.
L: They were on years ago..
A: Exactly. I don't know who the heck you're talking about, but..
L: They were a famous musical couple..
S: Did you see the original "Jungle Book"?
A: No.
S: Oh, you need to. He was the ticket..
A: Oh I'm sure they're amazing,..
L: They're bringing them back again..
A: But did they do that, like, "ok, enough of that"? I mean that was our wish, I think..
L: What's your next movie?
S: Uh.... "Beautiful Joe."
L: That's the name of the movie?
S: Yes.
L: Who's in it with you?
S: Billy Connolly who is so wonderful, so fun..
A: Hey, I didnt' know you were doing a movie!
S: I already did it.
A: I thought we were friends!
S&A: [both laughing]
L: You kissed him too?
S: He's so great. We have...a kiss.
L: Boy, you really get around..
S: I do, I do.. You know what, it's a.. I got this.. my dad's name is Joe, and I got this script called "Beautiful Joe" and so I thought, I'd better take a look at this. I got.. you remember my dad was sick in the hospital? I got this script when my dad was in the hospital, so.. and I thought, oh, ok so I probably need to take a look at this. And then thought, oh I'd probably do it. Then they didn't have finance..it's an independent movie and it sort of went away for almost a year. And I was in the Pittsburgh airport on my way home to see my mom and dad, then I got saying, we got financing for "Beautiful Joe." And I thought, this is kinda.. I'd better look at this. And I just think that Billy Connolly is just tremendous.
L: Anne, so no movies beyond the Ellen DeGeneres tour?
A: Well, I don't have one right now, but I also have 2 movies coming out as an actress. One called "Auggie Rose" with Jeff Goldblum and then one called "One Kill" with Sam Sheppard. So they'll be coming out in the Fall, and then hopefully I'll be shooting another film in the fall.
L: I thank you very much, Anne. It's always great seeing you.
A: Thank you..Thank you so much, Larry.
L: Sharon, have your way with me..
A: Oh my goodness, I can't look!
S: [laughs] You have to try it..
L: Wanna try it? Go ahead..
A: I don't know if I can do this! You're a man!! You're a man!!
L: Ellen's not here..
A: [pulls Larry's suspenders] Baby!
