The University of Sussex Badminton Club is one of the biggest sports club in the university. It has around 80 members for the 1996/97 academic year. Most of club members play the game socially as a form of enjoyment. The club welcomes everyone regardless of the standard of play as we believe that the sport should be enjoyed by all. Club nights are conducted every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. and Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. On Sunday mornings, the university badminton team undergoes weekly training at the Sport Centre for a couple of hours.

As dedicated captains of the club, Ruth, Stuart and Chris make sure that everyone drinks lots of beer as often as possible. They also organised a superfluous trip to Paris but ironically Ruthie and Stu(as we call them) spent the morning in a cafe in Brighton while the rest set sail for France after forgetting their passports!!!!STU also likes to throw tomato ketchup crisps into his beer (ughhh!!) RUTH is followed by the CIA (and FBI) and is believed to be an ex-KGB agent, the 'ruth'less Rufalinksalowski. ASH reflects the light off his bald patch to iluminate and hence blind his opponents and if that doesn't work he gets them irate by chatting up their wives and daughters.
