(wrong diagonal for half the pattern)

I said that show was Beau's birthday present to me, since my birthday was the next day!! Beau was an old Morgan cross 13.2hh gelding. He was very hard on beginners, but by then we had a mutal respect/horsey-friendship going on, so we did well together.

Georgia is my instructor's first horse! I rode her in jumping because she was easier for beginners than Beau.

April Fool's is my friend's horse. He's a QH/Morgan cross and a dappled Palomino. She was on vacation for 2 weeks so I got to ride and take care of him! He was a different horse! It was wicked fun, especially since I was fairly new to the sport and it was like having a horse of my own! :)

Mellobrook Farm Open Horse Show -September, 1996

Riding Beau Cheval

#3b Walk/Trot Senior Equitation: 13-18 YRS - none

#3e Walk/Trot Senior Command: 13-18 YRS - 6th place (out of 12!)

#10b Walk/Trot Senior Pleasure: 13-18 YRS - none

#25a Walk/Trot Senior Trail - 3rd Place

Beau and Pam trotting in W/T
It was a very wet, rainy day. Not all that pleasant, and my first "real" away show! I hadn't ridden Beau in a long time so he didn't behave as well as he could have, he's the kind of pony that you have to ride everytime or he'll act up with you. I was really happy about trail and the only reason I got out in command was because I didn't hear them say "back" (we were standing), Beau did though!

Victory Stables "Fall 1996 Student Horse Show" Series
-November 10th, 1996

Riding Jessi James

#6 Walk/Trot/Canter Equitation - 3rd Place

#7 Walk/Trot/Canter Pleasure -2nd place

#8 Walk/Trot/Canter Groundpoles - 2nd place

W/T/C Division - Reserve Champion!

#10 Elementary Over Fences X Rails "A" - 2nd place

#11 Elementary Over Fences X Rails "B" - 1st place

#12 Elementary Under Saddle - 3rd Place

Elementary Hunter Division - Reserve Champion!

Jessi was a Morab gelding, 15.2hh, and very beginner safe, just not a great jumper ;-) I was against some people from my instructor's with more experience than I, but that was okay. It was really cold out that day too.
