Felicity's Memorial to Maria

Only God knows when along comes the day,
When family and friends can no longer stay.

Whether it is old age, accidents, murder, or disease,
The pain and sadness has you down on your knees

Pleading with God and asking him Why?
Why do family and friends have to die?

The people who make your whole world worth living.
Others keep taking but they kept on giving.

Just their laughter could brighten up your whole day,
and before you can stop it they're taken away.

God came and took them to heaven above
before you could tell them how much they are loved.

All the people that loved them are left here to grieve;
That you'll never see them again is impossible to believe.

You'd give anything to have them back in your life,
your father, your mother, your husband, your wife,

your family, your friends, all are so dear,
and you would do anything just to hold them near.

So draw them up and into your heart,
and this is where they never can part.

Death is not something that is easy to go through.
When someone's gone, you realize things you never knew:

The vibrant life you loved is gone, only memories remain;
And until you're with them again, somehow you know,
Things will never be the same.
