Individuals to Include

  1. The Include/Exclude facilities used to add or subtract individuals from the report based on various criteria, are static. New individuals subsequently added to the file that satisfy the criteria are not automatically added to the report. Such a facility is needed.
  2. Stability: A FTW file can enter a state where Custom Reports in Books do not retain their content.
    1. View and select individuals
    2. Leave report
    3. Report is empty when you return
I have sent several example files to Support, at their request. I never hear any more about them. [TAYLOR(damaged).ftw]

Items to Include

  1. Headings: The Custom Report column heading for the Reference Number item forces that column to be much wider than the numbers displayed, taking up valuable real estate on the page. The only recourse is to manually specify the widths of all the columns.
  2. Incorrect output: Titles are output in the aka column.
These really are titles and not akaTitles are output
  1. Headings: The dialog allows one to configure the report by adjusting the widths of each column. There is no way to prevent truncation of the headings, however. There should be a way to respecify the text of the headings.
  2. Column widths: The dialog which allows configuring the column widths may be toggled between the automatic settings and the manual ones. If one wishes a different layout, however, there is no way to reset the manual values to their default values – i.e. to start over.
  3. Column widths: One is permitted to explicitly define the widths of each data column. The data displayed is truncated if the width is set too small. Usually, one would like to be able to specify that the data should be word wrapped within the column rather than truncated.

Sort

  1. [V6] When names in the report are formatted "First Middle Last", the sorting is by first name rather than last name.
