June 98:

What can I say, I just love em' dragon fish. Actually, I was debating if I should get a snowboard, a cd-writer, or maybe set up a fully planted discus tank again. Well, from the look of things, the snowboard, cd-writer, and planted discus tank did'nt even have a chance. I figured snow only comes every winter, heh' besides that, I may break a leg or two. I did settle for another red-tail golden since I spend most of my time staring at my fish. Why another red tail golden? Well, the reds and X-backs are just too darn expensive (for now). Nevertheless, the Red-Tail Golden is equally as impressive and of course, much more affordable. Since you're reading this, I might as well give you the run-down on the tank: 60 gallon tank filtered by a Magnum 350 canister filter + Sea Storm 100 fluidized bed powered by a powerhead, 100 watt Ebo Jager heater. Tankmates: a pair of young Potamotrygon Motoros. This lil' Red-Tail gold should be okay in this tank for a good 6 months til' I move her/him to a more spacious tank. BTW, special thanks goes to Joel from Ban's Red Dragon.
