These charts are from popular Native American Indian designs.  The top 2 designs are typical of the Eastern tribes.  The third design comes from our Southwestern tribes.  The fourth design is from nowhere ... just a design that popped into my head, but it is using a rounded eyelet or Daisy Stitch for those that like specialty stitches.  The last design is my personal favorite and it is an Apache design, which makes a good bookmark design.

Backstitching where indicated is done in DMC 310 (black).
