Reminiscent
of less harried era,the Victorian
tea is a luxurious way to pass an afternoon in celebrating
a little girl's Birthday.
All little girls love to play dress up and a tea party is just
the thing to pass an afternoon with her favorite doll and a few friends.
In the following
pages I will try to plan the party out with you.
From the beginning to the end.
Now since
we have decide the Theme is to be a Victorian Birthday Tea Party.
You'll need to make a list of things to do.
1. Decide if the party is to be inside
home or outside on a porch or patio.
2. Decide the date and time.
Be sure the date and time does not
conflict with school ,work or Sunday.
3. Making your guest list.
This will depend on
age of child
how many you invite.
4. Purchase your supplies.
5. Make out your Menu.
6. Plan some games you can play.
7. Plan to either buy or make your
favors but stay with your Theme.
Ok now since
we have a List to Do let's start.
You may either buy them or cut cost by making your own.
Remember to send out your invitations about 2 weeks before party.
Making invitation can be simple and cost saving to make.
First stay with your Theme. Items that you'll need for this.
Go to your local Store and check for gift wrapping paper ,
paper doilies,(they can be colored or white),white construction
paper, glue, magic makers, scissors, also maybe some stickers.
You might think of also making your own of your Computer.
In making your own invitations cut the wrapping paper or
doilies in to nice size squares. For the inside construction paper
cut this a little slightly smaller then the outside of the invitation.
Once you have the inside cut to fit you might want to put in the
information as to the type of party,( so each guest can dress to the
Theme)who it is for, time, date and where the party is to be held at,
also if it to be inside or outside weather permitting.
Oh yes don't forget to include on the invitation that the guest might
bring their favorite doll with them as a guest to the party.
After you have this information glue the construction paper to the
inside of the wrapping paper or doilies, To make it a little fancier
you can take 2 or 3 very narrow ribbons after you have folded the
invitation tie the ribbon at the center crease. In each invitation you
should include a RSVP card. This again you can make or buy nice
size plain postcards and then decorate them. Put a stamp on each
card with your address for each to send a reply back to you. Or you
just may have a call back phone number they may reach you at on
smaller card the size of a business card. To make it easier on parents
you might suggest a price to spend on gifts.
Let's now go on to Decorations
