1987 AMERICAN NATIONAL WINNER - B.I.S.S. CH. ALPHA THE HEADLINER-Crossed Over January 1995
Headliner

To The Best Shar Pei
That Ever Owned Me

A Gogorilla Son and A Shir Du Bang Grandson
bred by Mike and Pamela Litz of the Alpha Kennel and sold to me in 1988, after his National 1987 Win.

This day the doggie angels came and took you by their side,
To a land where all the greats have gone to join them now with pride,
I said goodbye to you that day, and alone you did not part,
For along with you, went, a great piece of my heart.

You were a National Winner, and that you sure could tell,
Your style, your pride, your babies, in all that you did excel,
You were the best to me my friend, your loyalty so true,
I never could have asked for more that the love I got from you, my BOO!

Alpha The Headliner's congo red stain on ALL organs, tested him clear of Amyloidosis - no amyloid present!!
Age 9 1/2
Very few purebred dogs die peacefully in their sleep the way we want them to, and intestinal carcinoma(cancer found only in intestines) took Headliner down in about 3 months, and I feel the cancer was directly linked environmentally to the fact that whenever I left him alone in his kennel he ate and swallowed his rugs, to get back at me, however I will never know for sure, only my intuition. Loved, missed and in my heart forever!!

Just this side of heaven is a place called The Rainbow Bridge.
When a beloved pet dies who has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to The Rainbow Bridge.

It is a land of meadows, hills and valleys
with lush green grass.
There is always plenty of food and water and sunshine;
our friends are warm and comfortable.
Those old and frail animals are young again,
restored to health and vigor.
Those who have been hurt or maimed
are made whole and strong again.
The animals play all day;
they are happy and content with each other.

But, there is only one thing missing.
they are not with their special person who loved them on earth;
the one who had to be left behind.
Then the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
The bright eyes are intent;
the eager body quivers.
Suddenly he breaks away from the group,
flying over the green grass;
his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been seen.

And when you and your special friend meet,
you take him in your arms and embrace.
The happy kisses rain upon your face.
Your hands again caress the beloved head.
You look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet.

And then, together, you cross The Rainbow Bridge.

Never to be separated.
