I grew up in Vermillion County Indiana. The next county
over is Parke County. Parke County is the covered bridge capitol of the
world. Here is a collection of pictures that I have taken of
some of them.
The bridge on the left is on the west side of
Rockville, Indiana. (Parke County)
This one is another one on the
west side of Rockville.
This bridge is at Mansfield. There is an old mill
there that still works. If you have never been to Parke County.....it is a trip well worth
your time. It is so lovely there, especially in the fall. They have the Covered Bridge
Festival there each fall during the month of October. It is held in Rockville, Indiana.
As we were taking this picture, horseback
riders were enjoying a ride in the country.
This is the Rush Creek bridge. Isn't
the countryside just beautiful?
Another one taken from the creek bed. Most of
these bridges are close to Turkey Run State Park. Sugar
Creek runs through the park, winding around and through cliffs.
