cmd+a
cmd+c
cmd+g
cmd+v
cmd+x
All of these are used, by pressing both down together.
You will also use your shift key and your up and down arrows. Are you ready to learn? Here we go.
You will notice your cursor, is in the text box below. You will also see some text. Press these keys: cmd+a,(This selects all text in the area). The text should now be highlighted. Now, press these keys: cmd+c. (This copies the text). After you have done this, move down to the next box.
Now you will paste the text in this box. Be sure the cursor is in the box, and use cmd+v. It should put the text you copied, in the box. Once you have done this, go to the next box.
Up above, we used cmd+a. That selects all words on a page. What if you only want a part of something on a page? To copy the last sentence in the box below, Do this: (again, be sure the cursor is in the box). Hit your "find" button on your keyboard. The sentence you want, starts with the word "you". Type that into your find box. Now hit "return". The word "you" should be highlighted. To copy the rest of the sentence, hold down the shift key and use your arrow keys. You can either use the "down" or the "right" arrow key. After the sentence you want is highlighted, use cmd+c. The text will now be copied. Try pasting (cmd+v) it right under the sentence you copied.
We are going to do the same as above, only notice the paragraph in the box. The word "you" is in there twice. You still only want the last sentence. Use your "find" button, and type in "you". Hit "return". The first word, "you", was highlighted. To get to the second word, use cmd+g. This will take you to the next word. If you pass up the word you want, you can use cmd+b, to go back to the last word. Try it in the box, also. Now you can copy the last sentence, and paste it right under it. Then, on to the next box.
Here is another way, to copy that last sentence. Put your cursor before the word "you", in the second sentence. Now just hold down the shift key, and the down arrow, until the sentence is highlighted. If you highlight too much, use the left arrow key to un-highlight. Then use cmd+c. Try that in this box.
There is only one more command left to cover. This is for moving text from one area to another. Be sure the cursor is in the box, and highlight everything in the box. (cmd+a). Now you will use cmd+x. That copies the text, and deletes it, so you can move it. Then all you do, is take it where you want it, and use cmd+v. Try moving the text in this box, to the box below.
That is all there is to it. I hope you found this tutorial useful.
