MRS. WILLIAM BARTO
Mrs. Barto, wife of Wm. Barto, died at their home at
Kittanning, on October 7, 1918,of typhoid fever. The remains were brought to the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Adam Snyder, of West Church Street, where funeral services were held on
Thursday afternoon. She is survived by her husband and three children, her parents, a
sister, Mrs. D.V. Lapsley, of Glassport, Pa., and a brother Harvey H. Snyder of Indiana.

CRISSMAN
WILLIAM R. CRISSMANWILLIAM R. CRISSMAN, 76 of South Sixth Street
extension passed away Monday, February 23, at 7:30 a.m. at his late home. Born March 4,
1876 in White Township, Indiana County, Pa., a son of the late Henry J. and Ellen McKEE
CRISSMAN, he spent his entire life in Indiana and the surrounding community and the past
24 years in Indiana. Mr. CRISSMAN has operated the farm on which he lived. First married
to Bessie K. SNYDER and later to Sadie E. LITTLE, both of whom are deceased.
Survived by two sons, Carlisle E. CRISSMAN, Ambridge, Pa., Wm. Clair CRISSMAN, Phoenix,
Arizona; two daughters, Mrs Moody (Dorothy) McGUIRE, Clymer, Pa., Mrs Clyde (Ruth) LITTLE,
South Sixth Street extension, Indiana, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren,
and one sister, Mrs. John RUFFNER, Indiana, Pa. Friends will be received at Robinson's
36N. 7th. Street. Indiana, after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday where services will be conducted
Wednesday, February, 25, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Harry B. Boyd will officiate. Interment in
Oakland Cemetery. (1933)
Mrs. William C. Crissman
Mrs. Bess Snyder CrissmanMrs. Bess Snyder Crissman, aged 35 years, the wife
of William C. Crissman, died at her home on West School street, Monday afternoon at 2:30
o'clock. Death was due to a complication of diseases. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam
Snyder. The deceased was born and raised in Indiana, and was a graduate of the Indiana
High School. Mrs. Crissman was a most devoted member of the Lutheran Church, taking an
active part in the Women's Missionary Society, Sunday School, and every department of
church work. She will be missed most however, in her home, where she leaves her husband
and three children: Carlisle, aged 11, Dorothy, aged 9 and Clair, aged 5. She was an
exemplary wife, a devoted affectionate mother. She died a Christian's death as she had led
a Christian's life and has entered into the rest prepared for the children of God. Her
parents and these sister and brother also survive: Mrs. D.V. Lapsley, of Glassport; Mrs.
William Bartow, of Kaylor; and Harry Snyder, of Indiana. The funeral services will be held
at the Crissman home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. Lewis Hay, pastor of
the Lutheran church and the interment will be made in Oakland cemetery. (3/3/1913)
Peggy Ann Crissman
Peggy Ann, 10-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Carlisle Crissman, died at the Crissman home in White township at 7 p.m. yesterday of
diptheria. The deceased, who was born December 21, 1931, is survived by her parents and a
sister, Betty Jean Crissman. Short funeral services were to be held in Oakland Cemetery at
2:30 p.m. today in charge of the Rev. Mr. MacTavish and the Rev. Mr. Rumbaugh.

FLEMING
HARRY FLEMING KILLED
Comes in contact with live wire at Trafford City
Word was received in town about 4 o'clock yesterday
evening that Harry Fleming, Jr., formerly of this place, but latterly living in
Turtle Creek, had been killed yesterday at noon while at work in the Westinghouse
Electrical Manufacturing Company's plant at Trafford City.
Details are very meager, but it seems that in testing
some piece of electrical apparatus Fleming came in contact with a live wire and was
instantly killed by the shock.
The unfortunate man was a son of Harry Fleming, Sr.,
who at one time kept the West Indiana Hotel. He was married about three years ago to a
daughter of Henry Livingston and the couple moved to Turtle Creek where they have
since resided.
The remains will be brought here on this evening's
train and preparations made
for the funeral. (10/13/1903)
Dwight A. FlemingDwight A. Fleming, 72, of 1829 Droz Ave., Economy
Borough, Beaver County, died Tuesday, April 2, 1974, in Sewickley Valley Hospital,
following a sudden heart attack.
He was born July 8, 1901, in Turtle Creek. He had
resided in Ambridge for the past 33 years and had been raised in Indiana. He was a former
inspector at Armco Steel Corp., Ambridge, retiring in 1966. He was a member of the
Ambridge First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his widow, Vernie Smith Fleming;
sons: Harry G., Hopewell Township; and Beryl D., Santa Ana, Calif.; daughters: Mrs. Arthur
(Wanda) Foringer, Harmony Township; and Mrs. Harry (Donna) Edward Jr., El Tora, Calif.; a
sister, Mrs. Winoa Sheffler, Indiana; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today and from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kenneth E. Hare Funeral Home, 500 Park, Ambridge, where
service will be conducted on Friday with the Rev. Ted Stephenson officiating. Interment
will be made at Oakland Cemetery, Indiana. (4/3/74)
Winnett Livingston FlemingWinnett Livingston Fleming, 60, of Argonne Drive,
New Kensington, passed away suddenly yesterday while at work at the Alcoa Plant in New
Kensington. He was born June 22, 1904 in Turtle Creek, and was a son of *Marcellan and
Olive Livingston Fleming Wilson.
Survivors include his wife Bernice Buchanan Fleming;
three children, Mrs. Martha Jean Baker, New Kensington; Winnett Jr., New Kensington;
Robert Fleming, New Kensington; his parents of Williamstown, W Va.; ten grandchildren; one
brother Dwight A. Fleming, Ambridge, and one sister, Mrs. Marvin (Winona) Sheffler,
Indiana.
Friends will be received at the Hankey Funeral Home,
New Kensington. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
- Marcellan Wilson was the second husband of Olive
Livingston. Winnett was the son of Harry Austin Fleming, the first husband of Olive.

LITTLE
Clyde Little
J. Clyde Little, J. Clyde Little, 78, Indiana, died Friday, Feb. 23,
1996, at Indiana Hospital.
The son of Jerry S. and Elda Heitzenrater Little, he
was born Aug. 26, 1917, in Trade City.
Mr. Little was a member of Zion Lutheran Church,
Indiana, and had served as White Township supervisor for 12 years.
He was employed as a supervisor at McCreary Tire &
Rubber, Indiana, where he worked for 38 years, and was farmer for many years in Indiana
County.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Crissman Little, whom
he married 53 years ago; one son Kevin Clyde Little, Indiana; one daughter, Kay Ellen
Little, Indiana; two grandchildren, Dawn R. Little Frye and Justin C. Little, both of
Indiana; one sister, Helen Ritchie, Homer City; one brother, Elsworth Little, Lewistown; a
daughter-in-law, Jennifer Little Aimino, Indiana; special friends Donna Backus and Kelly
Empfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son,
Ronald E. Little in 1972; six brothers; Floyde, Burt, Clair, Henry, Carl and Harry Little.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at
Robinson-Lytle's. Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb 26,
with Pastor Bernhard A. Bischoff officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery,
Indiana.

LYDICK
Mrs. Grace Sylvia Lydick,
of Indiana R. D. 3, passed away in the Indiana Hospital, May 1, at 9:50 p.m. from injuries
received in an auto accident. She was the daughter of John and Mary Armstrong Livingston,
born March 17, 1907 in Rayne Township, Indiana County, and had lived her entire life near
Indiana. She was a member of the Church of Living Christ. In addition to her husband,
Blair James Lydick, Sr., she is survived by two sons, Blair James, Jr., at home, Clyde
Emery, Indiana, R. d. 3; four daughters, Mrs. Russell Lawrence, Saltsburg, R. D. 2, Mrs.
John Mihalich, Mrs. David Stotahard, both of Indiana, R. d. 3, and Stella Mae, at home;
four grandchildren, two brothers, Earl and Harry Livingston, both of Indiana R. D 3, and
one sister, Mrs. Walter Schrock, Indiana R. D. 3. Friends will be received after 5:00 p.m.
Monday at the Church of the Living God, Chevy Chase, where services will be conducted
Wednesday, May 4, at 2:00 p.m. DST. Elder J. M. Derideau will officiate. Interment will be
in Greenwood, Indiana.
Woman dies after crash on Route 80--Mrs. Grace Lydick, 42, Indiana R D.
3, died in the Indiana Hospital at 9:45 p.m. Sunday as a result of injuries received in a
one-car crash Saturday afternoon, on Route 80, near Musser Nursery. Her husband, Blair
Lydick who was operating the car, and Mrs. David Stothard, Indiana R D 3, a passenger,
were admitted to the hospital for treatment of injuries. He was treated for head and arm
injuries. Mrs. Stothard was treated for back injuries. According to State Police from the
Indiana substation, Lydick said an unidentified motorist had forced him off the road,
while enroute from Clymer to Indiana, and that he had given chase to the motorist
attempting to obtain his license number. During the chase, he apparently lost control of
his automobile and his car left he road, turned over three or four times, landing in a
field. State Police said the Lydick car was completely demolished. Mrs. Lydick, when
admitted to the hospital, was treated for a possible skull fracture. County Coroner Dr. E.
L. Fleming will confer with police before ordering an inquest.
Clyde Emory Lydick, 26,
of Clymer, was killed Saturday, Nov. 11, at 9:30 P.M. in an automobile accident. Born
August 12, 1924, in White Township, Indiana County, the son of Blair J. and Grace
Livingston Lydick, he spent all his life around Indiana, until moving to Clymer, six
months ago. His survivors include his wife, Agnes Goldie Mihalich Lydick, and two sons,
Clyde Edward, and Barry Bent. his father, Blair J. Lydick, Blair, Jr., at home. Four
sisters: Sr., of Indiana R. D. 3; one brother, Mrs. Russel Lawrence, Saltsburg, R. D. 1;
Mrs. John Mihalich, Indiana, R. D 3; Mrs. David Stothard, of Coral; and Mrs. Carleton
Montgomery, of Brownsville. He served in World War II in A-T Co. 26th Infantry Regiment,
1st Division. He operated shuttle cars in the Ernest Mine of the Rochester and Pittsburgh
Coal Co. He was a member of the Ernest Local no 599, U. M. W. of A.; Clymer Post No. 22,
American Legion. Friends will be received at the Church of the Living God, Chevy Chase,
after 5:00 P. M. today, Nov 13, where services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 15, at
1:30 P. M. Elder J. M. Gerideau and Elder J. F. Walker, will officiate. Interment in the
Greenwood Cemetery, in Indiana
Blair James Lydick, Jr.,
54, of Green Lane, formerly of Indiana, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 1991, at his home. A son of
Blair J. Sr. and Grace Livingston Lydick, he was born March 6, 1937, in Indiana. Prior to
moving to Marlborough Township in 1970, Mr. Lydick lived in Indiana and Norristown. He was
an Army veteran. He was a bricklayer for many years, most recently being employed with
Local 54, Norristown. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond E. (Susan d.) Hess,
Souderton; two sons, Ralph B., Summerville, SC. and Thomas N., Norristown; three
grandchildren; threes sisters: Mrs. David (Jean) Stothard, Aliquippa; Mrs. Carl (Stella)
Montgomery, Shelocta; and Peggy Mahalich, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his sister,
Dora Lawrence, and a brother, Clyde Lydick. Services will be at the convenience of the
family. The Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, is in charge of arrangements.
Blair J. Lydick, 73,
husband of Agnes Florence Bollinger Lydick of 862 Fairview Ave., Indiana, died Thursday,
Sept. 17, 1970, at his late home Born Nov. 16, 1896, in Cherryhill Twp., Indiana County,
he was a son of Joseph and Margaret Fulmer Lydick. Mr. Lydick was a retired miner,
employed by the R & P Coal Company for 19 years and was a veteran of World War I. He
had lived his entire life in Indiana County and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness
Church. Surviving are his wife: one son, Blair James Lydick, Jr., Green Land; four
daughters: Mrs. Russell (Dora) Lawrence, Autlman; Mrs. John (Margaret) Mihalich, Indiana;
Mrs. David (Jean) Stothard, Aliquippa; Mrs. Carlton (Stella) Montgomery, Shelocta RD 3;
four step-sons: John Libengood, Truxall; Albert Bollinger, Vandergrift; Richard Bollinger,
Apollo RD 2; Leroy Bollinger, Apollo RD 4; one brother, Fero Lydick, Indiana; one sister,
Mrs. Della Daley, Brackenridge; one half-brother, Leroy Lydick, Johnstown; 15
grandchildren; five great grandchildren and 11 step grandchildren He was preceded in death
by his first wife, Grace Livingston Lydick in 1949; and a son Clyde E. Lydick in 1950.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. this evening and on Saturday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.
at Robinson-Lytle's in Indiana. They may also pay their respects at the Pilgrim
Pentecostal Holiness Church, Indiana, an hour before services at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The
Rev. Claude Floyd will officiate and interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery,
Indiana.
