EXAMPLES OF SUFFERING: YESHUA OUR SAVIOUR
Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith, Who for the Joy that was set before Him, Endured the cross, despising the shame, and is Set Down at the Right Hand of the Throne of G-d. Hebrews 12:2
Yeshua was rejected by His own people and plotted against by religious authorities. He was railed at and eventually arrested, being turned over to the Gentiles by one Judas Iscariot, whom He had called "friend". He was subjected to illegal religious trials and wrongly convicted, sentenced and crucified as a common murderer or theif. He Forgave all of His enemies.
Yeshua suffeered more than any Man has ever suffered in bearing our sins in His own Body on the cross. The Fathers' Judgment was poured out on His Son. He died in your place. This Fulfilled what was to happen to The Messiah of Israel as Foretold by the Hebrew Prophets.
THE APOSTLE PAUL
...for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith] to be content. Philippians 4:11
The Apostle Paul was subected to many painful ordeals and perils during his pilgramage on earth. He was shipwrecked, beaten, stoned and left for dead, imprisoned, chained, put on trial numerous times, persecuted, deserted by false friends and brethren and finally, executed by the sword in Rome in the reign of Emperor Nero.
ALL SUFFERING IS FOR A REASON
But the G-d of All Grace, Who Has Called us into His Eternal Glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered awhile, Make you Perfect, Establish you, Strengthen you. I Peter 5:10
All that we suffer is for a reason. We develop Patience and are Strengthened. If we maintain His Divine Joy throughout suffering, this is a Mark of Spiritual Maturity. All is Rewardable at the Judgment Seat of Christ before which we must all Stand and give an account to G-d.
It is not easy sometimes to have to suffer. But know that G-d Sees your Righteous sufferings and He will be Faithful. Our Saviour and all the Saints that have preceeded us have Suffered. Be Glad to be included with them.
THE WORLD AND SUFFERING
"The world" is under Judgment.[1] It seeks by all possible means to avoid suffering. Suffering, to "the world" is mostly distasteful. They abhor it. They do agree that a certain amount of suffering has to be in order for success. When it does not, they see no purpose in it.
