DIVINE PEACE VS. "HUMAN PEACE"

And your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; Ephesians 6:15

DIVINE PEACE

The Divine Peace that Yeshua (Jesus) Gave us is far better than anything "the world" has to offer. The "peace of this world" is but temporary, depending upon circumstances but this can all change very quickly. "Wars amd rumors of wars" can bring anxiety to those without His Peace in their Heart

Believers need to focus on the fact that His Peace Transcends all earthly cares. This does not mean we become "careless" in a negative sense, but that we are to Operate in a Higher Sphere out from the Source of His Grace. Messiahs' Peace does not depend, ultimately, on external "worldly" circumstances we may find ourselves confronted with because of "the cares of this life".

THE WORLDS' "PEACE"

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Matthew 10:34

True Peace is only found in Messiah Yeshua. Still "the world" keeps trying to set up some sort of "peace" which will last. The Roman Empire kept on trying it for 1,000 years and failed. The "world" continues to seek it without repenting. They will never find it.

Today, those "in the world" can seek either Personal Peace or what is considered the more altruistic "World Peace" or both. "Peace" in the world usually depends upon external or sometimes political circumstances. Because they have no Divine Peace within them, they always seek these types of peace and can attain a "fleshly peace" from time to time, but since it is not based on the True Spiritual Absolute which Yeshua brings, they can never can make it last.

"The world" seeks to have some sort of "lasting peace" and does attempt to achieve it. Theirs is usually limited however, to what they can externally control. Political means can sometimes be used for this purpose. Since the human heart of the unsaved is not Spiritually cleansed, (Scripture calls this "uncircumcised") lawlessness still runs about. If it continues unchecked, "peace" can disappear because of unrepentant lifestyles of sin. "This world" remains under Judgment.

CARNAL BELIEVERS CAN'T FIND PEACE EITHER

We know from the Scriptures and personal experience that Yeshua Gave us His Peace. If a person is Saved but they return to the "ways of the world" or in practicing other religions as they did before, His Peace becomes set aside in favour of what they had done previously.[1] This worked fairly well when they were unsaved, but since the Spiritual challenges are so much greater in the Christian life, they do not work as well, and later fail.

When they discover that what they used to do does not bring the "peace" they had anticipated, they can become frustrated or disillusioned and become alienated. The "nothing seems to work for me now that I'm Saved" individuals. His Peace is gone and their self-will cannot get it back doing what they are doing, "willing" what they are willing.

Others seek to "use" or distort the Principles they have found to secure new popularity or position for themselves. Some may resort to Anger if their "plans for peace" do not succeed. These things always seemed to work before in "the world" so why not now? They have to understand that they now have to Trust Him fully, remain with True Teaching and Apply True Biblical Principles in the context of the New Covenant for them to have His Divine Peace. There simply is no other way that will work in the long run.

Those who had previously been the most "religious" before they were Saved often find difficulty in this area. Also, those who, before they were Saved have achieved any sort of "worldly recognition" for their endeavours can frustrate Grace. They can sometimes seek to "exert their influence" based on their past worldly achievements or "religious expertise" drawn from their experiences before they were Saved. Many times Peace disappears.

False teaching will also not bring True Peace. Dispensationalism and the false doctrine of Conditional Salvation for instance, can never bring True Peace. Yet Yeshua Promised His People Peace. Does the following verse suggest He meant they could "lose their Salvation"?:

Peace I leave with you, My Peace I Give Unto you: not as the world gives Give I Unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

Yet those who teach His Elect can "lose their Salvation" preach trouble and fear both.

Sometimes other methods are used to attempt to bring peace such as the Shepherding Discipleship Movement which may seem to work at first but has harmed many.

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is Written, 'How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of Peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!' Romans 10:15

The Full Realisation and Application of His Divine Peace only comes from using Faith to Learn New Covenant Principles along with G-ds' Promises and Doctrines of The Faith.

Grace be with you, Mercy, and Peace, from G-d the Father, and from the L-rd Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in Truth and Love. II John 1:3

[1]Some ways unsaved or carnal man uses to arrive at some sort of mental attitude peace are personal wealth, power, influence, rank, position, or popularity. Others are meditation, mysticism or pharmaceuticals. Today, pharmaceuticals may be prescribed by a doctor in certain situations.

Meditation, mysticismm, drugs and even alcohol to excess have been used for centuries in other religions to derive some sort of "peace" to religious ceremonies. This is not the kind of Peace we are talking about.
