These are selections from the Book of Jubilees found at Qumran. There were more copies of the Book of Jubilees found there than any other texts except the Torah.

NOAHS' PRAYER AGAINST THE DEMONS

Chapter 10

In the third week of that jubilee, the demons began to lead astray the children of Noahs' sons and to lead them to folly and to destroy them. And the sons of Noah came to Noah, their father, and they told him about the demons that were blinding and killing his grandchildren. And he prayed before the L-RD his G-d and he said,

"G-d of the spirits which are in all flesh, who has acted mercifully with me and saved me and my sons from the water of the Flood and did not let me perish as you did the children of perdition, because great was Your Grace upon me, and great was Your Mercy upon my soul. Let Your Grace be Lifted Up upon my sons, and do not let the evil spirits rule over them, lest they destroy them from the earth. But Bless me and my sons. And let us grow and increase and fill the earth. And you know that which Your Watchers[1], the fathers of these spirits did in my days and also these spirits who are alive.[2] Shut them up and take them to the place of Judgment.[3] And do not let them cause corruption among the sons of Your servant, O my G-d, because they are cruel and were created to destroy. And let them not rule over the spirits of the living because You Alone Know their Judgment, and do not let them have power over the children of the righteous, henceforth and forever."

REBEKKAHS' INSTRUCTIONS TO JACOB REGARDING MARRIAGE

Chapter 25

In the second year of this week, in this jubilee, Rebekkah called Jacob, her son, and spoke to him, saying,

"My son do not take for yourself a wife from the daughters of Canaan as (did) Esau your brother, who took for himself two wives of the daughters of Canaan. And they have embittered my soul with all their impure deeds, because all of their deeds (are) fornication and lust. And there is not any righteousness with them because (their deeds are) evil. And I love you very much my son. And my heart and affection Bless you at every hour of the day and (every) watch of the night. And now, my son, heed my voice, and do the will of your mother. And do not take for yourself a wife from the daughters of this land, but from my fathers' house and my fathers' kin. You will take for yourself a wife from my fathers' house. And the Most High G-d will Bless you, and you will be a righteous generation and a holy seed."
