¡Hola! I've been living in Spain for 31 years now, EGAD, that is half my life! I love it here, and am so fortunate to live in a big house in the City of Madrid (actually that's Villa de Madrid). But still, at heart I am a Pittsburgher.

This is part of my front yard:

At the moment, my primary hobbies are quilting and Poodles. I have a Pfaff 7570, so can combine some wonderful machine embroidery with patchwork.

I love to scribble around the odd block with my Pfaff, actually making specific blocks for special people is what I enjoy most about quilting.

Another thing I really enjoy is hand dyeing fabric, you get such wonderful surprises!

I made this vest for my daughter Alisandra when she was in the States getting her Masters in Landscape Architecture.

It's a garden plan with everything labeled, including a black cat (hers) and brown Poodle (mine).

I think it was my first original design, from a very small stash, but I had lots of fun doing it!

Again I used my wonderful Pfaff (although then it was the 1475) for the stippling and other programmed stitch quilting.

I have been President of the Spanish Poodle Club for several years. Here is the BIS of our last Specialty Show:

Dreamie

I bred and showed Poodles for many years, and am an International judge. There are some 25 champions with my affix, "del Martinete", including two World Champions.
Dreamie almost made it too. He was first in Open Class at a World Show and won his CAC, but was Reserve when competing with the champions.
