Materials:
worsted weight cotton (2 colours (CA,CB))

hook: 4.0mm Conversion chart

This pattern is a general pattern which will have to be altered to fit the size of the pot you are attempting to cover.

With 4.00mm hook and CA chain enough stitches to encircle around bottom of pot.

Join with sl st in first ch to form a circle.

Do not join rounds unless stated. Use marker to mark beginning of round.

Rnd 1 :Ch 1, sc in each ch around.
Rnd 2 : sc in each st around.(change to CB in last part of sc in this round)
Rnd 3: With CB sc in each sc around (Change to CA in last part of sc in this round)
Rnd 4: With CA continue working in rounds until piece is 1/3 the height of the pot.

Increase 3 sts in the next round.
Continue working in rounds until piece measures 2/3 the height of the pot.
Increase 3 sts in the next round.

Continue until you are 3 rounds from the top.
(Change to CB in last st of last round)
Work 1 round of sc in each st with CB.(change to CA in last st of this round)

Work 2 rnds in sc in CA. Join to first st of previous round.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.

and Voila! a plant pot cover.
